Flotilla Smeralda: La Maddalena Archipelago with Velasquez - MEN'S SEATS ONLY

The experience overall was very nice. Experiencing the sea directly from the boat offers a completely different perspective than the one you have from the mainland because the scenarios, the landscapes and the very way of experiencing the sea are really another experience and certainly represent the strength of the trip. However, there are some aspects of the flotilla organization that, in my opinion, could be improved. If the spirit of the flotilla is to get together, create a group and allow people from the different boats to get to know each other, I found it limiting that only one dinner was organized all together during the whole week. Another aspect concerns the management of travel. Often general times were communicated for the movement of boats from one location to another, but these times were not respected. This made it more difficult to organize the interior of the boat. An episode that I found particularly inconsistent with the indications received concerns the arrival of the first day. We have been emphasized on several occasions the need to arrive by a certain time, to the point that some people have bought a new plane ticket to be able to comply with this indication. Once we arrived, however, we stayed for several hours at the port, under the sun, waiting for the first meeting, which took place much later than the indicated time (+3h). A point that I think is also important to point out is that relating to the collaboration required of the people on board. At the time of booking, it was not, at least as far as I was concerned, sufficiently clear that, in the absence of a coskipper, specific cooperation would be required from the people on the boat. It is information that I believe is important to communicate explicitly already in the booking phase, so as to allow everyone to understand the type of holiday. Finally, two meetings were organized during the week that I personally found not very useful and rather uncomfortable. We stayed for about an hour crammed under a tent, on a lawn and with a temperature of about 33 degrees. Probably more comfortable ways and places could be found and, above all, make these moments shorter and more engaging. In conclusion, I still consider the trip a very positive experience, especially for the possibility of experiencing the sea and the people with whom you share the boat. The critical issues I have highlighted mainly concern organization and communication and, precisely for this reason, I think they are aspects that can be easily improved and that could make the experience even more pleasant for future participants.

total inadequacy of the skipper who led our holiday. In addition to not having demonstrated the necessary skills to handle the boat safely, his attitude was never reassuring, fueling stress on board instead of tranquility. His approximation unfortunately caused an accident in which I reported, fortunately, only bruises (it went well) . Safety at sea is a top priority and on this holiday it was lacking because of those who were supposed to protect us. The head skipper Claudio, on the other hand, made himself available to make us feel more "protected". The program of the trip was very nice; Maybe getting to know the crew before departure would have been ideal (with the creation of a WhatsApp group) but overall, apart from the skipper, a nice holiday. Our boat was smaller than the other two that sailed with us.

Very good skipper. The only problem (certainly not due to you): the destination was super crowded with hundreds of other boats. The catamaran is nice, the belongings gave 5 stars but it was very hot in the cabin and there was no air conditioning

Wonderful sailing holiday with Gianluca on his boat which is very beautiful and well maintained, with a lot of care. The spaces are large for relaxation for those who want to rest or sunbathe and for moments of sharing. Unforgettable week with growing emotions for the beauty of the places visited, for the dives in crystal clear waters, the swims on beaches that evoke the Caribbean and for the long sails. Thanks to Gianluca and the crew for making it possible!!
