A presto ????

Week in South Sardinia with skipper and hostess included - from Carloforte to Cagliari

Buon Vento a Voi!!!

Excellent trip with Carlos and Aroa! Carlos is extremely calm and loves to share knowledge and help improve sailing competencies if the crew are eager to learn! Aroa was extremely caring and good humoured and made us feel very welcome. Beautiful trip across to Sardinia- I hope to sail with them both again!

8 reasons to choose the south of Sardinia for a sailing cruise

  • The area of Sardinia quieter and more authentic, with nothing to envy to the famous places of the North
  • .
  • A sailing vacation where you can combine sport, relaxation and unspoiled nature, while learning the rudiments of sailing with the help of the skipper.
  • Costs less jagged in southern Sardinia than in the north of Sardinia, reachable by sailing boat with the tender provided, perfect for those who want to relax on white and deserted beaches.
  • A lively and vibrant city like Cagliari, to be explored far and wide, especially the Castello, the fortified hilltop district with wonderful views.
  • You'll find hidden coves all to yourself even in the busiest months like August.
  • Orchaeological sites as unique as the area of Nora, built on the promontory of Capo di Pula, right next to the lagoon of the same name where there is also a recovery center for sea turtles.
  • Southern Sardinia also has a typical cuisine distinct from the northern part: don't miss sa cassola, the fish soup of the Cagliari area, and fil'e ferru, the typical grappa of this area.
  • There is also no shortage of movida in the south of Sardinia: all you have to do is head for Villasimius to enjoy a top tourist destination, one of the most popular in the Mediterranean.

The best places to visit during your next cruise aboard a sailing boat in southern Sardinia.

.

Of the more than 2,000 km of coastline for which Sardinia is famous, some of the most beautiful but least crowded can be found in the south area.
. Wide bays with white sand worthy of the best tropical paradises, absolute silence broken only by the sound of crickets that mixes with the waves, and starry nights to admire: what better way to experience such a paradise than from a sailboat? With a catamaran in the south of Sardinia you can venture even in shallow waters, while thanks to the tender provided you can choose to experience the sea from the bow of your boat or from the beach.
Here are some of the most iconic places in southern Sardinia to visit by sailboat:

Pula

>.

Where sea, history and nature meet. At the southwestern tip of Sardinia, Pula is an area that has something to offer everyone. Lovers of movida will not be disappointed by its sparkling evenings of aperitifs in the piazza. Those who love to immerse themselves in history will find what they are looking for in the archeological area of Nora, an ancient Phoenician settlement later conquered by the Romans. Nature lovers will be delighted by the golden beach of Nora, the lagoon behind it, populated by a multitude of birds, and the Is Cannoneris forest, a paradise for hikers.

.

Villasimius

If you've had enough of the tranquility of other areas, it's time to set course for Villasimius: undoubtedly the iconic resort of southeastern Sardinia. Taking a stroll around its beaches, you'll feel like you've stepped into a commercial: the sea is a color that looks painted, framed by the white sandy beaches that crown the gulf and the green hills behind. Explore unique beaches such as the Spiaggia del Riso, which owes its name to the pebbles that look like grains, or Porto Giunco, behind which the Notteri pond is populated by beautiful pink flamingos. Finally, explore the island of Cavoli by sailing boat in the marine protected area of Capo Carbonara.

.

Cagliari

Discover the capital of Sardinia at your own risk: you may never want to leave!
. This city has everything you could wish for: historic districts with sea views, shopping streets, scenic spots, trendy bars and clubs, and restaurants to delight your taste buds. Enjoy traditional local dishes such as spaghetti with bottarga and artichokes, burrida, sea dogfish and walnuts, and fregula with cocciula, semolina balls with clams. Moor your sailboat at the city marina and let yourself be bewitched by its alleys. But don't think that there is no lack of naturalistic attractions: the lagoon of Cagliari, the park of Molentargius-Saline and much more await you for excursions on foot or by bicycle.

Everything you should know to organize your sailing vacation in the south of Sardinia

  • .
  • In contrast to the north, life in some places in southern Sardinia is slightly cheaper. Skippered boating vacations in this area start from €400 for a week, while there are also day trips on a sailing boat to Villasimius and the surrounding area for less than €100. To these costs you have to add the transport to and from the place of embarkation and the common box on board.
