My boat is a 1991 Gib Sea 442. It is one of the last projects of the Gib Sea shipyard before it was taken over by another better known and larger French shipyard. The boat has the characteristics and construction qualities of the period, when they were not yet mass-produced, and the attention to solidity and marine qualities were important. It is therefore a safe boat designed for sailing on almost any occasion. Internally it is divided into four cabins, two double aft and two with bunk beds forward. It has three bathrooms, two with toilet and one with comfortable walk-in shower. Solar panels and wind turbine blade make us self-sufficient for electricity. It has 600 liters of water and a purification plant that makes it drinkable (so we don't have to buy plastic bottles). The L-shaped kitchen has everything you need, two burners, oven and two refrigerators. The dinette is comfortable and at the table you can comfortably eat for 10 people. Real teak interiors have the warmth and sensations of a cozy and homely environment. Under each bed and sofa, as well as in the cockpit, there are spacious lockers, as well as the sail locker for almost unlimited storage space. The Yanmar engine, one of the best in the industry, was installed new in 2016.
