In barca a vela per regate fin dal 1970. Comandante professionista dal 1981 facendo charter, crociere-scuola e numerosi trasferimenti, sia per conto di armatori privati che per conto di importanti cantieri di imbarcazioni a vela e a motore. Numerose traversate atlantiche e molte decine di migliaia di miglia percorse in Mediterraneo, Atlantico, Carabi, Venezuela e Centro America.
