Wouter

Wouter grew up in the Netherlands, always close to the water. His parents owned a motorboat, and every summer was spent cruising the Dutch canals for weeks at a time. At the age of 16, he bought his first sailing boat, which marked the beginning of many adventures on Dutch waters.

Over the years, he owned and sailed several different boats, gaining hands-on experience in a wide range of conditions. At 29, he completed a solo offshore passage, sailing a 30-foot yacht from Amsterdam to Lisbon. An experience that firmly sealed his passion for sailing and life at sea.

Since then, Wouter has been fully committed to sailing and is currently retraining to become a professional captain on larger sailing vessels. His approach on board combines practical seamanship, safety awareness, and a calm, confident style.

Livia

Livia was introduced to life on the water through her father, who also lives on a boat. Although she grew up near Lake Geneva, she did not sail extensively there. However, she was always familiar with the boating lifestyle and what it means to live on the water.

Over the past year, Livia has gained most of her sailing experience aboard Sretna. She is actively involved in daily life on board and regularly takes the helm during manoeuvring and anchoring. We believe it is essential that, in case of an emergency, both of us can confidently handle all key tasks on board, and we train and sail with that principle in mind.

Together, we offer a balanced and well-coordinated team on board, combining experience, continuous learning, and a strong focus on safety and good seamanship.
