This experience, in a nutshell

Do you already have a good foundation in sailing, but would like to sail with more safety, autonomy and competence? The Advanced Sailing Course is designed for those who want to make a leap in quality, deepening the advanced techniques of sailing, boat and crew management.

During the course, you will learn how to deal with more complex weather and sea conditions, driving the boat alone or in a team. It's an immersive experience that will allow you to put everything you learn into practice right away, with the constant support of our expert instructors.

Course objectives:

  • Prepare the boat before sailing, checking every technical detail.
  • Deepen the dynamics of the sailor's psychology and the management of the team on board.
  • Manoeuvring safely and accurately in port.
  • Adjust the sails in an advanced way, using the flow threads to optimize navigation.
  • Driving the boat alone, managing all the maneuvers independently.
  • Reduce the sails with reefing hands to face strong winds.
  • Perform emergency maneuvers such as the emergency hood and lowering.
  • Deepen the concept of real, apparent wind and speed wind.
  • Understand the physics of sails, sail center and drift center for more efficient and balanced sailing.

Our itinerary

Our trip starts here:

Lido di Ostia.

Check-in: 8:00 AM

Our trip ends here:

Lido di Ostia.

Check-out: 6:00 PM

Our itinerary

During the sailing course we will stay near the seafront of Ostia for easier management of entrances and exits from the port.

In the morning, boarding will be scheduled at 8:30 am.

At 9:00 am the course will begin and after an initial briefing we will cast off the moorings to leave the port.

Around 12:30/13:00 lunch break of about an hour lulled by the sea.

Return to port scheduled around 18:00 to allow those who do not stay overnight on board to return home and return on board the following morning.

For those who want to stay on board the cost is € 30 (includes the use of the cabin, bathroom, kitchen and final cleaning)

Saturday night or Sunday night we will all go together to eat a pizza!

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

Just returned. It was a beautiful holiday, indescribable places, definitely to be redone. Leonardo the skipper very attentive to safety and really experienced, handled a problem perfectly. As for the boat, it needs maintenance. However, I recommend it to everyone. Terry.
