This experience, in a nutshell

We will sail the beautiful Aeolian Islands in a super comfortable 16.5 meter sailboat exclusive for only 6 guests with hostess / cook on board.

So breakfasts and lunches of the day are included with excellent local food prepared and served, fresh cocktails and barbecue at sunset. This is already a holiday!

We inform you that we prefer the roadstead to the port!

So we will make port, only on the evening of embarkation, then every day and following night they will be only in bays in the roadstead on the different islands.

However, it will be possible to go ashore as many times as you want for excursions, tourism and shopping with our comfortable 3-meter dinghy accompanied by the skipper.

Our itinerary

We will sail the islands according to the itinerary that will advise us on the wind to be comfortable and sail as much as possible! We inform you that we prefer the roadstead to the port! So we will port in Vulcano (directly to the Aeolian Islands) only on the evening of embarkation, then each day and the following night they will be only in bays in the roadstead on the different islands, to fully enjoy the boat holiday!

However, it will be possible to go ashore as many times as you want with the comfortable 3-meter dinghy accompanied by the skipper.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

🚗 By car

To reach Vulcano Porto by car, take the road network of Sicily to the ports of embarkation; the main one is the port of Milazzo (ME). From Palermo, follow the A20 motorway towards Messina to the Milazzo exit and continue on the SP towards the port; from Catania take the A18/A20 or the SS113 via Messina towards Milazzo. The estimated driving times up to Milazzo are generally in the order of 2.5-3.5 hours from Palermo and 1.5-2.5 hours from Catania, which vary according to traffic and the type of road; Vehicles can park in paid or guarded car parks near the port before boarding.

🚆 By train

The reference railway station is Milazzo (Palermo-Messina line), served by regional trains and some long-distance connections; from Palermo the train route takes about 3-3.5 hours by regional or Intercity trains, from Messina about 30-50 minutes, while from Catania the journey via Messina can take 1.5-2.5 hours depending on the connections; from Milazzo station you can reach the port a short distance by taxi or city bus; Railway timetables must be checked for connections with ferry/hydrofoil timetables.

✈️ By plane

The nearest airports are Catania-Fontanarossa (CTA) and Palermo Falcone-Borsellino (PMO); from Catania the transfer by road to the port of Milazzo takes approximately 1.5-2 hours, from Palermo 2.5-3.5 hours. From the airport terminal there are car rentals, taxis and regional bus connections to the main Sicilian cities; For integration with the ferry it is necessary to consider times for land-sea transfers and connections between air arrivals and sea departures.

⛴️ By ferry/hydrofoil

For Vulcano Porto, the main maritime connection departs from the port of Milazzo with hydrofoil services (operators such as Liberty Lines) and local ships/ferries (Siremar/Ustica Lines or equivalent); the hydrofoil crossing from Milazzo to Vulcano takes an average of 40-60 minutes, with longer times for ships making intermediate stops; There are also departures from Messina. In addition, it is possible to reach Vulcano from mainland Calabria: hydrofoil/passenger ferry services depart from Reggio Calabria to Vulcano with a journey time of approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, typically operated by companies such as Liberty Lines, and in some seasonal periods, from Palermo or Naples with longer journey times and less frequent services. Landings take place at the port of Vulcano (Vulcano Porto), where passengers and luggage disembark.

The professionalism and hospitality of Marco and Vale made this experience unique and exciting! A duo that led me among the most evocative views of the Aeolian Islands, allowing me to admire the explosive activity of Stromboli and, after a pleasant night navigation, to wake up in the roadstead to the most paradisiacal bays of Salina and Lipari. The trip was entirely dedicated to relaxation and "slow life", being the rhythms managed in a relaxed way in accordance with the needs of the crew and, of course, meteorological conditions. A particular credit goes to Vale for the LOVE with which he first selected the excellent raw materials and then prepared exquisite recipes and aperitifs. As for Marco, what can I say, a REAL sailor, with a contagious smile and a mastery of sailing that instilled an atmosphere of serenity and confidence from the first moment. The common areas and the cabin were comfortable, I found the boat clean and tidy. The excursions were very pleasant, which allowed us to experience the islands and create further moments of sharing and fun. My first sailing experience will remain among my best memories especially thanks to Vale and Marco's infinite passion for the sea, and the fact that they made it wisely accessible with their profession.

Six days with Marco & Valentina were like being among friends, family. In addition to being fantastic hosts (and excellent skippers), they put you at ease in maximum safety. The boat is spacious and clean, you can see the attention to detail. And Vale is an excellent cook! I recommend this holiday to those who love simplicity, in magical places.

Esperienza unica! Talmente entusiasta che sicuramente rifarò! Barca completa di ogni confort necessario per vivere al meglio la vita in mare, comoda e spaziosa. Marco e Valentina sono il valore aggiunto, persone splendide, sempre disponibili e con il sole nell’anima, hanno fatto si che si creasse il giusto clima di divertimento e spensieratezza che serve in vacanza! Cucina e cibo STREPITOSI! Grazie ragazzi ci rivediamo presto!

Unique experience and great people! A journey full of emotions and that I will never forget, Marco and Valentina welcomed me on the boat, and immediately made me feel at home. During the three days of travel I had the pleasure of getting to know them better. Marco is a calm and kind person, a super competent and professional skipper. Always willing to teach his crew how to set course and sails, regardless of experience level. Unique sailing and life master. Valentina, also very kind, is a bomb of energy and happiness, always ready to entertain and spoil the crew with aperitifs and delicious dishes. I will never forget the crossing of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Between naps sunned by the waves of the sea, aperitifs with traditional food and white wine, and shifts at the helm during which to learn how to manage the boat. And finally, three days of pure relaxation and fun in Sardinia immersed in unique coves with emerald water.
