🚗 By car
Ancona can be reached mainly along the A14 (Adriatica) motorway: the exits indicated are Ancona Nord and Ancona Sud; the SS16 runs along the city for those who prefer state roads. From Bologna, the A14 route covers about 150 km with driving times in the order of 1 h 20-1 h 50; from Rome the distance is about 270-300 km with times of 3 h-3 h 40 via A24/A14 or A1 with motorway junctions; from Milan the journey is about 400-450 km and takes an average of 4 h-4 h 45; from Venice about 250-320 km with times around 2 h 50-3 h 30. At the entrance to the city there are rest areas and accesses to the port and the center; during rush hour, traffic on the A14 and SS16 can change travel times.

🚆 By train
The reference station is Ancona Centrale, on the Bologna-Bari Adriatic line; regional services, Intercity and long-distance connections such as Frecciarossa/Frecciabianca pass through Ancona depending on the timetable. The approximate times are: Bologna-Ancona 1 h 10-1 h 40, Rome-Ancona 2 h 50-3 h 30 with direct trains, Milan-Ancona 3 h 30-4 h 30 with at least one change in Bologna or Milan Central, Venice-Ancona 2 h 50-3 h 30 with direct trains or with change. The station is located a short distance from the port and major city hubs, allowing you to continue on foot, taxi, or local buses.

✈️ By plane
The nearest airport is Ancona-Falconara (AOI), about 15-20 km from the center; connections with the city are made by taxi, bus, shuttle services and car rental; Transfer time 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. For alternative stopovers useful for reaching Ancona, we consider Bologna (BLQ, transfer by motorway or train in 1-1.5 hours), Rimini (RMI, about 1 hour), and Pescara (PSR, about 1.5 hours); from these airports you can continue by train, bus or car to Ancona.

If all cabins are occupied by guests, the skipper - and any crew members, if applicable - sleep in the dinette.

Double cabins are usually assigned to those traveling as a couple, while those booking individually share a bunk cabin with another traveler (not necessarily of the same gender). Spots are assigned in order of booking, except in special cases.

The provisions will be purchased by the participants immediately after boarding.

Meal preparation is a shared activity among all participants in the experience, unless the optional “Hostess/Cook on board” service is available and has been chosen.
