This experience, in a nutshell

The Barcolana is the busiest regatta in the world, with over 2000 boats registered. The context is truly suggestive: a splendid city like Trieste celebrating for several days, with exhibition stands, concerts, boat exhibitions of all kinds, from racers fighting for the podium to real 35-meter "monsters", with 50-meter high masts and sails of over 1000 square meters.

Walking along the shores it is easy to meet the champions of world sailing, including the America's Cup crews.

For this event we organize a weekend dedicated to sports sailing enthusiasts, photography or simply to those who want to experience the unique atmosphere of the Barcolana.

Our itinerary

Boarding is scheduled for everyone from Saturday evening to Sunday evening: on Sunday, after breakfast, the moorings are left to reach the starting line.

The Gulf of Trieste is filled with boats, from maxi yachts of 30 meters to small flounders of 5. At 11 o'clock, the cannon shot from the Victory Lighthouse marks the beginning of the competition: from that moment on, it really sails, and each crew pushes their boat to the maximum, whether it is a regatta or a simple cruise boat. Each buoy is a concentrate of suspense and adrenaline, including winches that turn, sheets that run and commands shouted by the skippers of hundreds of hulls. At the end, as soon as the finish line is crossed, we all toast together to celebrate the crew's commitment. Back in port, you cannot miss a typical Trieste lunch: fasoi in tecia with luganighe with krem, wine, beer and lots of morbin.

For those who wish, it is possible to be our guests already on Saturday with a day of rehearsals; write to me via the message area!

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

[hidden] is a beautiful sailboat of more than 13 meters, beautifully maintained by the owner, skipper Flavio. It is equipped with 4 cabins and 2 bathrooms. Flavio is an attentive skipper with a lot of experience, with the plus of being an excellent cook. It was a beautiful weekend, I highly recommend the experience . Giovanna and Federica
