This experience, in a nutshell

The Barcolana is the most attended regatta in the world: on October 11, the Gulf of Trieste fills with sails up to the horizon. Seen from the ground it is a spectacle. Lived from the sea, inside the regatta, it is an experience that remains.

We offer you three days aboard a Bénéteau Oceanis 473 that is also home for us: spacious, well-kept and designed to feel good together.

To participate you don't need experience, with you there is Ilaria, an FIV sailing instructor able to bring the boat independently and involve you as much as you wish... whether it's getting your hands on sheets or letting you enjoy the wind. You decide how much you want to be there.

Boarding at 4 pm at Marina Monfalcone. After settling on board, we leave and sail in the Gulf: it is time to get to know each other and become confident.

Saturday 10 October · The Trieste coast

A day of sailing along the wonderful Trieste coast, where the karst landscape descends sheer to the sea, up to the castle of Miramare. It is the right day to become familiar with the maneuvers and the pace on board. In the evening, Trieste is celebrating: we go down to the Barcolana Village, among docks full of boats and people from all over the world.

Sunday, October 11 · The regatta

Wake up early, coffee and head to the starting line. At 10:30 a.m. the cannon shot and two thousand boats that leave together: you are there, in the middle, registered for the regatta. The route is 13 miles between Barcola and Miramare. In the afternoon we return to Monfalcone, disembarking by 6 pm.

Our experience on [hidden], accompanied and guided by Ilaria, was incredible. The Kvarner islands are an enchanting place that lends itself perfectly to this type of experience; The sailboat has in fact allowed us to reach places, bays and coves that we would hardly have been able to visit by other means. Ilaria is an exquisite person who immediately turned from a skipper into a real travel companion; Very prepared, very kind and with a great desire to convey her passion for sailing. The boat was in perfect condition and equipped with everything we needed to allow us to live a week in complete relaxation; Don't be fooled by the first impression, the spaces on board are large and very comfortable! A beautiful week in the full spirit of the sailing holiday, you sleep in the roadstead and sail as soon as the wind allows it, minimizing motor navigation. Ilaria and Maurizio, both sailing instructors, are very good at creating aggregation and putting all participants at ease both by supporting (as far as possible) the needs of life on board, and by extinguishing notions of sailing in order to make, based on interest and previous knowledge, the whole crew participate in the maneuvers and management of the boat while sailing The boat is very comfortable and cozy and impeccably maintained In addition to the bays, fun and sailing, the sailing holiday is beautiful if it is in contact with the sea, with nature and respect for its rhythms, Ilaria and Maurizio best interpret this spirit

Top experience! A week on the boat with my sailor girlfriend, in which everyone did what they felt, and I didn't want to do anything and I didn't do anything. Ilaria and Maurizio were good at respecting my wishes, but I recognize that they behaved very well: we went sailing a lot, they taught those who wanted to learn and managed the stages and movements with the right times. Very spacious boat, we were in the forward cabin which is very nice. For those who want to spend a week on a sailing boat, highly recommended!

Indescribable experience among the Kvarner islands! Made possible thanks to Ila and Mauri, two very good instructors, as well as fantastic people. In a short time they know how to convey their love for the sea and their way of living it. Ilaria was a super captain! Patient and always available to answer any questions, even from those like me who had never been on a sailboat. It allowed us to actively collaborate in the maneuvers and to learn a lot. Mauri was a super Chef for the occasion! It was wonderful to be able to draw so closely on his enormous experience and knowledge of the sea. Listening to him every time he gave directions was a great privilege! Finally, [hidden], their home. A beautiful 14-meter sailboat, in great shape and super comfortable, able to make you feel at home. We can say that as simple sailing enthusiasts, thanks to them we fell in love with them. We look forward to meeting them again and starting sailing courses together with them.
