This experience, in a nutshell

FOR THIS HOLIDAY IT REMAINS AVAILABLE ONLY A PLACE WOMAN IN SHARING CABIN WITH ANOTHER WOMAN

From Saint Martin to Saint Barthélemy, Tintamarre, Scrub Island, Preakly Pear, Sandy Island, Anguilla, Tintammare are the names of the islands that await you. We set sail from the fun S Martin to numerous islands with small villages and life on land but also islands uninhabited where to make splendid snorkelling.

ITINERARY

ST.MARTIN
Some call it Saint Martin and some SintMaarten, thinking they are two different islands. In reality it is still the same, a small island in the Caribbean Sea, not far from Puerto Rico. It is the smallest inhabited area in the world to be divided between two different states: the southern area, SintMaarten, is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, while the northern part, Saint Martin, belongs to the French overseas countries.

Like many of the Caribbean islands, it was also discovered by Christopher Columbus who landed on its shores in 1493 giving it the name of Isla de San Martín, to honor the feast of Saint Martin of Tours.
Saint-Martin, the French : It is the larger of the two and has as its main city Marigot. The French side is famous for its beaches frequented by naturists, for shopping, including the colorful open-air markets, and for the rich French and Creole cuisine of the Caribbean.

The most beautiful beaches
The island has 37 beaches, the most beautiful in the French part, all reachable by land, except for the islet of Pinel Island (where we will anchor) which can be reached by boat from the Cul de Sac wharf in 5 minutes.

The Caribbean beaches of white sand and flat, often deserted sea are the destination. favorite of European tourists. These dream beaches include Baie Rouge, Baie aux Prunes, Baie Longue, Mullet Bay and the beach at St Marteen MahoBay airport.

The beach and the town of Gran Case where we anchor has a large hotel but also a nice little promenade, a nice double beach not too crowded and some small shops in French style, as well as restaurants by the sea and bars.

ST.BARTH
It is the island of daffodils and aesthetes: it is Saint Barth, one of the most exclusive destinations in the Caribbean, which has become, over the years, a meeting place for families of the caliber of Rockefellers, Fords and Rothschilds. The reason for such success with the international jet set is not difficult to guess.

Beaches of white sand surrounded by coral reefs, sumptuous villas immersed in the luxuriant vegetation of green hills that slope down towards the sea, spectacular views and a night life that is anything but boring. Saint Barth a vacation paradise. This small island in the French Antilles of just twenty-five square kilometers, shaped like a boomerang and surrounded by several uninhabited smaller islets

ILE FOURCHE
ST. Barth is surrounded by some small uninhabited rocks / islets, among which the volcanic Ile Fourchue, between S. Barth and S. Martin, is just a few tens of minutes away. This islet about 800 meters wide resembles the Tremiti islands and has a pebble beach. From here in just over an hour we reach the other long sandy desert island adjacent to St. Martin called Tintamarre

TINTAMMARRE
Tintamarre is only 30 meters high and about 1.5km long with a superb beach in the west and boasts excellent snorkeling. The island is only a few dozen minutes from S Martin and only an hour from the east coast of Anguilla.

PINEL ISLAND The most beautiful part of the island of Pinel is the one where you arrive by boat, formed by a strip of white sand and two beaches, equipped with sun beds and umbrellas. There are two restaurants. It is also possible with a short walk to explore the island and meet a place to go snorkelling and two other splendid beaches.

EEL
Delightful island Anguilla , lapped by long splendid beaches but also small islets with beaches and rocks like Scrub Island, Prickly Pear cays, Dog island .
A Caribbean island that boasts 365 beaches. It has always been one of the most popular and loved islands of the Caribbean, as well as the largest of the Leeward islands. Spectacular with its coconut palms bordering the white beaches and surrounded by the coral reef, the island together with Barbuda forms the Caribbean state of Antigua and Barbuda.

GRENADINES Paradise - Week on a catamaran with hostess FULL BOARD

Very nice catamaran even if there were not enough bottles of wine on board among those we requested. Skipper good but preferred to speak in French and often did not adapt to the requests of us passengers. Nice itinerary but there is not much coral reef and fish, compared to other destinations. Very long crossings between one island and another and with always very rough seas.

A week based entirely on navigation, with little time for snorkeling. Obligatory, prepaid shore trips that were worth just a great lobster lunch on the beach. Rigid aperitif times, lunch and dinner, inflexible cook on the menu chosen at his unquestionable will. No possibility of changing the menu of the day, because it was not declared before and therefore sometimes we were left without being able to eat. Tense atmosphere if you didn't like the food or had requests, also due to linguistic misunderstanding. The crew spoke only French, no English or little. The quality of the wine and food is low. Frozen fish in bags, except on the first day. Cocktails that are good only on two or three occasions, because they are freshly prepared. For the rest, bottles of rum and fruit already prepared and hot. Disappointing holiday despite the very beautiful location.

The boat was very nice but I found the rules on board too strict, for example lunch at 12 and dinner at 19 for an all-Italian crew it is too early and we would have liked more flexibility. In addition, the language on board was French and, fortunately, English. Too little for an international cruise.

My rating is just enough and I would actually only give it 2 stars. Unfortunately the holiday turned out to be far below expectations, the quality / price ratio is very bad. First of all, the French skipper who speaks almost no English is unacceptable with a group of guests from various nationalities. In case of emergency, the captain must know how to give clear and quick orders and he would not have been able at all. The French hostess (his girlfriend) cooked everything except "navigation" food: for the whole holiday as vegetables only two salad leaves and one evening green beans, in the first three days there was practically no fruit and in the tropics it is a must, fish eaten only twice and meat after all; he always cooked heavy lunches / dinners that did not go well with the environment and the temperature ... The answers to the various intolerances or requests for vegetarian dishes were rude and considered only sometimes. The group we sailed with fortunately turned out to be the trump card of the holiday, we were all on the same wavelength and complained about the same things. Our collective requests to stay a little longer in one place or to change times for activities have never been answered in the affirmative, revealing an excessive rigidity on the program and on the needs of the captain-hostess as a couple. Another sore point is navigation: 13 hours at night as soon as you embark and then immediately "segregated" in the cabin with the order not to leave until 6 in the morning is madness. In our group two people were sick, one of whom was in a single cabin and neither the hostess nor the captain bothered to go and check on her and give her a hand in case of need. Unfortunately, even the places visited are below expectations: obviously they are beautiful places, but as far as coral reefs and marine fauna are concerned, they are very lacking. They made us do 2-3 snorkeling in very busy places (a little bit for a week on the boat). The cleanliness left a bit to be desired and note that the cabin has to be cleaned by itself throughout the week. Basically I loved the catamaran and the holiday at sea but there were too many poor points so in the future I will definitely evaluate other destinations and modalities.
