This experience, in a nutshell

Exploring the island of Giglio on a sailboat during a weekend is an extraordinary experience that promises adventure, relaxation and discovery.

The island of Giglio, located off the coast of Tuscany, is a hidden gem in the Tyrrhenian Sea, with stunning scenery and an enchanting atmosphere. The journey starts from Talamone, a charming seaside village with an authentic atmosphere, where we will meet around 6 pm to make a galley, settle on board and spend the evening between an aperitif and dinner in one of the typical restaurants. The next morning we'll set sail for the island.

The feeling of freedom and peace that you get on a sailboat is indescribable. The sound of the waves crashing on the hull and the wind in your hair create a special connection with the sea. As you get closer to the island of Giglio, you will find yourself immersed in unspoiled nature. The rocky coasts are dotted with hidden coves and golden sandy beaches, ready to be discovered. You can anchor in secluded bays and snorkel to explore the rich seabed, or simply relax on the bow of the boat, admiring the breathtaking views.

Giglio Island also offers the chance to explore its picturesque old town, with its narrow cobbled streets and colorful houses. Here you can enjoy local delicacies in traditional restaurants and immerse yourself in the cozy atmosphere of the island. During the navigation you will be able to take turns at the helm and learn some basic notions of sailing. Spending a weekend on a boat is an amazing way to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with nature and the sea, creating lasting memories of an unforgettable weekend.

Our itinerary

Boarding, to begin this fascinating winter sailing experience, is scheduled on Friday evening around 6 p.m. at Porto Santo Stefano (Argentario). Once the cabins have been assigned and the luggage has been arranged, we will proceed to make the necessary galley for our weekend, and then spend a pleasant evening between aperitif and dinner in the cozy village.

On Saturday morning, after a nice breakfast, we will set sail and head towards the island of Giglio, where we will arrive in about 2 hours of sailing. You will take turns at the helm and learn some basic sailing basics. Depending on the weather, we will evaluate the best roadstead to drop anchor and enjoy a relaxing lunch surrounded by the wonderful panorama and the sea of the island. We will spend the night at anchor if you decide to make the most of nature and experience on the boat (weather permitting) or in port.

Sunday breakfast and off you go!! Sailed around the island between one manoeuvre and another and then anchored in another beautiful roadstead for lunch. Around 3 p.m. we will weigh anchor to put the bow on Talamone to disembark around 6 p.m

Magical weekend on Giglio Island

The boat trip to Giglio Island, in the Tuscan archipelago, exceeded all my expectations. The Luna Sul Mare sailboat is comfortable and safe. I have some experience with sailboats and as soon as I got on board I noticed the care of Captain Saverio D'Andrea in every detail to ensure well-being. All the equipment on the boat works well and the cleaning is rigorous. The tour started at the cozy marina of Talamone. The anchorage at Giglio was in the beautiful Cala dello Smeraldo, where I was able to enjoy swimming in the sea. The overnight stay was quiet in the gentle rocking of the protected waters. On the next stop the captain took us to Argentario, where I was able to enjoy another delicious swim in Cala Grande, before returning to Talamone. Saverio, in addition to providing a beautiful itinerary, was able to integrate and harmonize the coexistence of the group, which was always pleasant.
