This experience, in a nutshell

Discover the stunning Guna Yala region, also known as the San Blas Islands, board of a 15-meter ketch fully equipped and completely self-sufficient. This relaxing sailing experience is perfect for those looking to immerse themselves in pristine nature, unwind on crystal-clear waters, and get a glimpse into the fascinating culture of the Guna people.

We’ll set sail from the bay of Portobelo, a historic Spanish colonial town on Panama’s Caribbean coast. From there, we’ll navigate through remote islands and secluded spots that can only be reached by boat, offering a truly off-the-beaten-path adventure.

The trip ends where it began, making transfers to and from the airport as easy as possible. A smooth, memorable escape into one of the Caribbean’s most unique sailing destinations.

Our itinerary

This will be a relaxed week of sailing, covering approximately 120 nautical miles in total, including the return to Portobelo. We’ll stop each day at a different island or anchorage, with daily distances averaging 15 to 20 nautical miles, except for one longer stretch of about 30 miles.

Likely stops include Venas Azules, Isla Grande, Cayos Holandeses, Islas Maqui, Porvenir, and other smaller cays we’ll pass along the way. There’s plenty of time to explore many different islands, as they are all close to one another.

Enjoy snorkeling, stand-up paddleboarding, swimming, or exploring the reefs with the dinghy. Or simply relax, have a drink at a local beach bar, and soak in the beauty of the Caribbean.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

Adventure aboard a wonderful ketch, the skipper Hernan a person of absolute professionalism, competence and with great experience in the world of navigation led us to discover fantastic glimpses of paradise in the Caribbean. It was a good experience from every point of view. Very competitive price of the trip and boat equipped with everything. I would definitely rely on skipper Hernan again for another adventure aboard [hidden]
