This experience, in a nutshell

It's not just a holiday.

It is a week in which the weather changes pace and the sea becomes home.

It starts from the Marina of Cala dei Sardi, in Portisco, 20 minutes north of Olbia. The moorings are cast off and, slowly, everything else is left ashore. In front, only blue water and good wind.

The course is never rigid. You decide every day based on the weather, always choosing the most beautiful side of the sea: the one with the right wind, the most protected roadstead, the most transparent water.

The first dives in Costa Smeralda

We skirt the Costa Smeralda, between coves carved into the rock and seabeds that look like natural pools. We anchor in front of Cala di Volpe or the Spiaggia del Principe, and the first swim officially starts the week. Sun on the skin, salt in the hair, aperitif in the cockpit while the sky turns orange.

In the heart of the archipelago

Then you enter the wildest and most surprising part of the Maddalena Archipelago.

The unreal shades of Budelli, the shallow waters of Santa Maria, the rocks shaped by the wind, the nights at anchor under a sky full of stars. One evening you can go ashore in La Maddalena for a walk through alleys and ice cream overlooking the port. The other evenings you stay on board, with silence enveloping everything.

The Strait and Corsica

Sailing across the Strait of Bonifacio is one of those moments that will remain etched in your mind. The wind accelerates, the sea changes color, the horizon opens up.

Then come the white cliffs of Bonifacio, the perfect bays of Rondinara and Santa Giulia, the shallow and very clear water of Isola Piana.

Here time dilates. You swim without looking at the clock. We laugh. We remain silent to watch the sunset.

Return with the wind in your sails

On the way back, perhaps a stop in Porto Pollo, a sailor's paradise, and a last swim in the rocks of Spargi. Then we return to Olbia with that feeling that only the sea can give: good tiredness, salty skin, light head.

What's this week really like?

Every week is different. But if you love the real sea, the one made up of sailing, nature and freedom, you will find it here.

Our itinerary

Departure from the Marina Cala dei Sardi (Portisco) for a week in the most spectacular waters of the Mediterranean. The route is decided day by day based on wind and sea, always choosing protected roadsteads and scenery in the best conditions.

We sail along the Costa Smeralda with stops at Liscia Ruja, Cala di Volpe and Spiaggia del Principe, then towards the islands of Caprera, Budelli and La Maddalena for nights at anchor in the most beautiful places in the archipelago.

Through the Strait of Bonifacio you reach the bays of southern Corsica, such as Isola Piana, Cavallo, Rondinara and Santa Giulia, with crystal clear water and sandy bottoms ideal for long stops in the roadstead and perhaps a night in the beautiful Bonifacio.

Return with a stop in Porto Pollo and last stops among the wonders of the archipelago before returning to Olbia.

North and south Sardinia of Corsica sailing

The boat was splendid: well maintained, clean and with attention to detail, which made sailing comfortable and enjoyable. The destinations chosen were wonderful and, despite the high season period and the crowds in August, the skipper was able to anticipate the times and take us to less crowded places, allowing us to enjoy the experience to the fullest. From a technical point of view, the skipper proved to be an excellent sailor, safe and competent in every situation. The only aspect that could be improved: communication on board. During the trip, the fatigue of an intense August was somewhat reflected in his mood and desire to chat, at least with part of the crew. Overall, however, it was a beautiful boat holiday, which we will remember with pleasure.

We spent a wonderful week, between crystal clear waters and laughter. Fabrizio was a great skipper, fun and experienced. He is also a great connoisseur of beaches - trust him when he advises you to avoid tourist areas and set sail for little-known areas :). Highly recommended!

Thanks to Fabrizio who was a very attentive and professional skipper, we spent a nice week escaping from the strong wind and always finding solutions that would allow us to discover corners of paradise. We will certainly try again and fair winds to everyone

Fabrizio's great professionalism, the mega comfort of the Birba and the wonder of the small coves of the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park made this week serene, fun and super relaxing!
