This experience, in a nutshell

Let yourself be surprised by the Côte d'Azur and its magic, a landscape characterized by peaks overlooking the sea made of rocks that are first light and then red as you move westwards and on which picturesque villages nestle that are reflected in the clear waters of the Mediterranean. Emotions that can only be experienced in the tranquility of a sailing cruise.

The Côte d'Azur is surprising for its colors and its spectacular nature, it offers corners of paradise that can only be reached by the sea accompanied by the scent of the Mediterranean scrub and Provençal villages rich in history and scents.

We will try to alternate the stops in the roadstead and in the port to give all participants the opportunity to live both experiences, so the choice will be made according to the wishes of the crew in accordance with the weather conditions and the availability of places in the port. The idea is still to take you on a real boat holiday that you won't forget.

The French Riviera with its charming villages and glamorous atmosphere, welcoming bays and a splendid sea, tastes and aromas according to the best French style... This is the sailing holiday you wouldn't imagine! Among the stops it will be possible to reach destinations such as Menton, Cap Ferrat, a refined and exclusive village, Villefranche and Nice, the heart of the whetstone, Antibes , a fascinating fortified city, Cannes and the Lerins Islands , a destination for the most exclusive tourism, St Tropez, a wonderful fishing town transformed into the seat of the most refined tourism and if the time and the desire to sail allow it, the natural park of the islands of Cannes Hyeres and Porquerolles which are authentic exotic-Mediterranean gardens very special.

Any itinerary can be modified according to the crew's wishes, depending on weather conditions. You will find below what we normally propose.

Our itinerary

The departure is from Sanremo, and from the beginning you will be pleasantly surprised by the clear waters of Capo Mortola and Balzi Rossi.

We reach Menton with its scent of lemons and pastel-colored houses, continuing to sail westwards we will find Monaco, Saint-Jean Cap Ferrat which stand out for their sumptuous villas located in a beautiful natural setting that smells of maritime pines.

Continuing on, you reach Nice, one of the oldest port facilities on the Côte d'Azur with its colorful gozzo boats and the hectic life of a young city that has its center in the promenade des Anglais and in the flower market.

We will sail to Antibes, Cannes and Les Île de Lérins, a destination for the international jet set, the Rade d'Agay, Île d'Or, Saint Tropez with its fascinating gulf and the town that made the history of cinema and elite alternative tourism in the 60s, the natural park of Porquerolles and the islands of Hyères, small pieces of Corsica on the French Mediterranean coast.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

Sailing holiday in the archipelago of La Maddalena and Costa Smeralda

A very disappointing experience and very different from what we expected from the contracted itinerary. We chose this one-week sailing trip precisely to get to know some of the most spectacular coves and landscapes of the La Maddalena archipelago and the south of Corsica. The itinerary included areas such as Caprera, Spargi, Budelli, Santa Maria, Lavezzi, Cavallo and Bonifacio, and our expectation was to sail, discover coves and enjoy those landscapes of turquoise blue water, light sand and large granite formations so characteristic of this area. However, by the end of the week we felt that we saw very little of all that this route had to offer. We passed through some places and were in Budelli, specifically in the Spiaggia del Cavaliere area, as well as other points and ports along the route, but many of the places that had made us choose this trip were left out. What disappointed us the most was that throughout the week we practically did not live the experience we imagined of anchoring the sailboat in front of a spectacular cove with turquoise blue waters. Nor did we get to enjoy those small coves surrounded by huge granite rocks that are one of the most representative images of the archipelago. We fully understand that on a boat trip wind, sea state and safety can force you to modify the itinerary, and we would never expect a skipper to sail when conditions were unsafe. But it is one thing to adapt a route for safety and another to end a week with the feeling of having spent too much time between ports and unspecial anchorages, leaving a huge part of the places that motivated our choice unknown. We had pending places such as Cala Corsara in Spargi, Cala Coticcio in Caprera, Lavezzi, Bonifacio and other coves along the route, in addition to a good part of that navigation between beaches and crystal clear waters that we expected to experience. After a week, our feeling was: we were in one of the most famous and beautiful archipelagos in the Mediterranean, but we could hardly get to know what makes it really special. And that, considering the price and the expectations created by the itinerary, was a huge disappointment. But the most difficult part of this experience was not only everything we missed. It was the constant feeling of helplessness for not being able to participate in decisions about our own journey. At no time did we feel that we could really choose, propose alternatives or give an opinion on how to make the most of the days. Every time we tried to ask about another cove, another anchorage or a different possibility, we had the feeling that any proposal ended up being redirected towards the option that the skipper Frederico considered most convenient. There came a time when we practically stopped asking and remained silent, because we felt that it didn't matter what we said. That dynamic generated a lot of anxiety and anguish during a vacation that we had hired precisely to enjoy, disconnect and experience something special with the family. We fully understand and respect that the final word on boating safety rests with the skipper. We do not question that. What we missed very much was communication, alternatives and the willingness to seek, within the possible conditions, options that also responded to what we wanted to know. Our perception for a good part of the trip was that the decisions ended up systematically favoring the easiest option for the skipper, instead of trying to build with us the best possible experience within the circumstances of each day. And that feeling ended up deeply affecting our experience. We were in an extraordinary place, had invested a lot of money and had a week to enjoy it, but we ended up feeling like voiceless passengers on our own journey.

A very positive week. [hidden] organized everything in detail and the skipper, in the person of Manuel Sassi, an exemplary person: very prepared and very convivial. Unfortunately the weather was not favorable but everything went well. With the same people I hope to participate in the next events.

This review is for the beautiful week and the super skipper Enrico! 🙂 All good! Very nice places! Clean water and small 😉fish and very nice and characteristic cities in the evening of the French Riviera! Too bad we didn't manage to get to the Porquerolles, but the bad weather brought us forward. Enrico was responsible, a person with his feet on the boat, we also went sailing a lot and explained many things to us! Great person and great skipper! Ps: I have aged to sleep on bunk 🤣🤣😅😅 beds, otherwise ok. A hug Daniela

We traveled with skipper Manuel and it was a very nice experience. The only sore point, not being able to reach Porquerolles due to the weather conditions, but the other places were so beautiful that we forgot (for now 😉). Although the sea was not always calm, we traveled in comfort and, above all, always in safety. Manuel was very attentive and professional throughout the holiday. A few small suggestions to make the experience even better: given the increasingly high summer temperatures, it would be useful to equip the boat with a few more fans, even in the cabins and not just in the dinette. In a previous experience on a sailing boat I had slept more often in the roadstead, a solution that I personally find very beautiful and authentic, although of course the choice depends on the weather conditions and the itinerary. Just to make it easier to spend a few more nights at anchor, I would add a motor tender among the boat's equipment: it would allow passengers to move to and from land with greater autonomy. If I'm not mistaken, some other boats in the fleet had one with oars, but the engine would avoid having to burden the skipper every time for the movements or, vice versa, to make passengers feel embarrassed to ask to be accompanied. Another small cue concerns the itinerary: both the first and the last night you sleep in Sanremo and, in fact, the actual days of navigation are six. Since Menton is already one of the planned stops and is close to Sanremo, it might be nice to consider spending the last night there, returning to Sanremo the next morning. It would be a way to enjoy the trip until the end. Overall, a great experience and a week that I will remember with pleasure!
