Leg 1

Day 1

What is described is a rough itinerary that can be modified according to the wishes of the guests, as well as depending on the weather conditions. Guests can also apply for boarding in other locations and not in Luino.

The departure takes place on Friday evening and with an hour's sail you will reach Caldé, a quaint village on the shores of the lake that offers excellent restaurants and bars, as well as a breathtaking view of the lake. The place takes its name from the kilns used to produce lime, whose structures belong to the industrial archaeology of the early 1900s and which can be admired while sailing. As an alternative to staying overnight in this place, you can reach Laveno, also a beautiful lakeside village that offers the attractions and peace typical of the villages overlooking the lake.

Leg 2

Day 2

On the second day, we will reach the Borromean Islands; for those who have never visited them, we suggest disembarking and visiting the museum villas with splendid gardens of the noble Borromeo family. The place is also suitable for bathing, especially on the Toce river delta, a place of great naturalistic value. We will sail towards the monastery of Santa Caterina, which can also be visited and finally we will decide whether to head south again to spend the night in Angera, or north to the village of Cannero

Leg 3

Day 3

Itinerary depending on the route:

a) Heading south with an overnight stay in Angera: the morning is spent between Angera and Arona, with the possibility of sailing and visiting the two villages, both very characteristic; Angera stands out for its medieval fortress that offers a splendid panorama as well as an interesting visit from a historical point of view.

The rest of the day will be dedicated to sailing back to Luino.

b) Heading north with an overnight stay in Cannero: the town is splendid, with a beach worthy of seaside places and excellent restaurants. In the morning we move to Cannobbio, where there is a beautiful and lively market. Then we will sail entering the Swiss part of the lake to visit the Brissago islands which offer a breathtaking botanical park. Finally we return to Luino

Merci

Weekend on Lake Maggiore

Grazie Dario 5stelle+
