This experience, in a nutshell

Tour of Sardinia in 15 days with departure and arrival in Cagliari.

Two weeks of cruise, school and holiday aboard our beautiful Elan 450 Performance, to discover this wonderful island at 360 °.

It will be a unique opportunity, open to everyone, from beginners to those who already have experience, to combine the practice of sailing with fun. You can enjoy the sun and the sea of Sardinia, among the most beautiful in the world, in complete safety, followed by professional skippers and instructors.

Between one navigation and another you can relax, have fun and discover the coast with our SUP and tender, always at your disposal.

Boarding will be in Cagliari and, after a first substantial galley, depending on the weather forecast we will move east or west to start the tour of the island.

The boat will become your home for two weeks and, like a real crew, you will have to take care of it. Even in the preparation of meals we will alternate with each other.

If desired, there will be the possibility of disembarking and embarking halfway through, in the north of Sardinia.

Sailing tour of Sardinia with mini sailing course, departure and arrival in Cagliari.

The itinerary includes stops and navigations between Villasimius, Costa Rei, the Gulf of Orosei, Tavolara, the Costa Smeralda, the Maddalena Archipelago, the Strait of Bonifacio, Asinara, Alghero, Oristano, Carloforte and surroundings, up to the Gulf of Teulada.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions and/or technical or logistical reasons, in order to ensure safety and a pleasant sailing experience for all participants.

🚗 By car
From the mainland, take the motorways towards the main ports of embarkation (Civitavecchia, Genoa, Livorno, Naples) and embark the vehicle on the ferries; some ships dock directly at the port of Cagliari, otherwise you disembark in northern ports of the island (Olbia, Porto Torres, Golfo Aranci) and continue by car via SS131 towards Cagliari; driving times on the island: Olbia-Cagliari about 3 hours, Porto Torres-Cagliari about 2 hours and 30 minutes, transfers from the city port zero if the ship enters Cagliari directly.

🚆 By train
There is no direct rail connection between the continent and Sardinia; for embarkation, use the port stations of reference: Civitavecchia (connections from Rome Termini in about 45-60 minutes), Genoa (connections from Milan in about 1 hour 30-2 hours), Livorno (connections from Pisa / Florence in 20-60 minutes) and Naples (connections from Naples Centrale); from the port transfer on foot, taxi or shuttle to the ferry docks; once on the island, the reference station is Cagliari, served by regional convoys for the internal lines and with a railway connection to the Elmas/Airport station.

✈️ By plane
Cagliari-Elmas Airport (CAG) about 7 km from the city center, connected by regional train, urban/suburban bus lines, taxis and car rental services; transfer time between the airport and the city center 10-20 minutes by car depending on traffic; direct flights connect Cagliari with Italian cities and with some international airports through national and low-cost carriers; Services and frequencies vary seasonally.

⛴️ By ferry/hydrofoil
Maritime routes from Civitavecchia, Genoa, Livorno and Naples with departures to Cagliari or northern ports of the island; the duration of the crossings varies according to the route and type of ship, with night routes to the port of Cagliari that can take between 12 and 20 hours and shorter connections to Olbia / Golfo Aranci / Porto Torres; Schedules, types of boarding (passenger and vehicle) and operating companies are subject to seasonal variations.

The boat is small (there were 4 of us + skipper and already very tight, they sell the experience for 6 people + skipper) and the cabin is not very well maintained (in one cabin a piece of wall kept falling), also quite messy (half of the lockers were already occupied with personal belongings or advertising). The destination is quite disappointing, too long distances for a few stopovers we saw 3 bays (saffron, teulada and Pula) and the pretty town of Carloforte in 6 days. The marina of Cagliari where we spent 2 nights is located next to a club with loud music until very late. Showers are paid and outside in front of a parking lot (little privacy). The Marina di Carloforte was better. Very nice and experienced skipper. I would not recommend this for more than 4 people, it is not suitable.

Overall very good trip to a beautiful destination. The boat is a bit crammed for 6 people plus the skipper, so would probably be a bit more comfortable renting the entire boat for a smaller group or a family with kids. Eduardo is very knowledgeable and it feels safe all the time. Some language problems if you only know English, so would recommend this trip mostly to Italian or Spanish language speakers.

It was my first experience on a sailing boat and it couldn't have gone better. Beautiful places we visited, learn about aspects of practical life on the boat full of meaning. Skipper Fulvio, competent, experienced, safe, provided useful information for those like me who are approaching the world of sailing. Crew that has joined valid. Highly recommended experience.
