This experience, in a nutshell

A week of Smart Working on board Adriatica. Guests from Monday to Friday at the small port of Trapani and from Friday to Sunday ready to set sail to discover the Egadi Islands, with the wind in their sails!

A working holiday where you can relax and have fun while meeting new friends, enterprising and easy-going like you.

Adriatica, with its 22 meters and its 5 cabins, with 5 private bathrooms, is ideal for an alternative week where you can simultaneously "disconnect from the office routine" and be operational... Sea!

We will create a family atmosphere and as a close-knit crew we will be able to share all the moments of the day, cooperate and play together.

The proposed experience includes the long weekend of navigation, where we can indulge in 101% relaxation and fun by discovering the Egadi Islands which are located a few hours away from Trapani.

The Boat

The boat has 5 cabins: 2 triple with single beds, 1 triple with double + single bed, 2 double bunk cabins. Each cabin has its own private bathroom. The spacious and comfortable cabin also allows for convivial moments below deck, and the galley is perfectly equipped.

Here the story of Adriatica is intertwined with that of Patrizio Roversi and Syusy Blady, a meeting that took place in the most classic and providential "by chance". One day in spring 2000, the Roversi-Giusti family (Patrizio, Syusy and Zoe) passes through Fano and, looking for the entrance to the motorway, gets lost in the industrial area. Behind a disused warehouse, in the middle of the countryside, covered in weeds and populated by pigeons and chickens, they see a boat pulled out of the water. It is made of iron, all rusty, huge, majestic. -Mom, Dad, but this is Noah's boat!" exclaims Zoe. Patrick measures it in steps: it is over twenty metres long. It is indisputably a sailing ship, even though it has no masts or drift. It is an apparition that sparks the imagination. Some time later, accompanied by their usual accomplices, they return to see her. And they fall in love with it. After some research that passes through friends at the Cooperativa Atlante (those of Goletta Verde) and the legendary Amedeo of a Bolognese bookshop dedicated to the sea, ours trace the name Sciomachen. As chance would have it, this handful of family-run, but internationally renowned, engineers reside in Bologna. Meetings and discussions began on the original plans recovered from the cellar. The obstacle that inexorably stands between the enthusiasm of Velisti per Caso and the wind in their sails is, as often happens, that of cost: putting a boat like this back in the water is a matter that cannot be resolved even with a lifetime's savings. This is where William Giommi, the yard manager who built the hull twenty years earlier, comes into play: tracked down, he does not think twice about getting involved again! Indeed, some time later William became the president of the port's shipyard consortium and mobilised all the Fano shipyards united (including his own, the Bulgari) in the extensive restoration work.

The boat was completed at a record pace in just nine months, when it would have taken at least two years. It was 2001, date of the launch 29 September. And from his birthplace comes the name: Adriatica, like the sea he first sailed.

After the week of smart working and sharing on board Adriatica, guests of the small port of Trapani, we will be able to sail exploring the Egadi Islands, based on the sea weather conditions we will choose the most beautiful and characteristic bays where to anchor, see the sunsets and the most beautiful starry skies there are!
