This experience, in a nutshell

A weekend on a sailing boat along the east coast of Corfu, the island of the Phaeacians, one of the seafaring peoples narrated in the Odyssey. The departure and arrival base will be the headquarters of the Corfu Sailing Club, inside the Old Venetian Fortress, built on the promontory that divides the Gulf of Kerkyra and the bay of Garitsa. We will be carried by the wind along the narrow channel that separates Corfu from the mainland: to the south, skirting between the east coast of the island, the port of Petriti and that of Sivota on the mainland, site of the naval battle between Corinth and Corfu in 433 BC, to the north visiting the picturesque towns of the island such as Santo Stefano or Kassiopi. A weekend of sailing, manoeuvres at the helm, wind and good food!

If the arrival times are favorable, we can decide to move for a first step to the nearest islands and sleep in the bay or stay and spend the night in Corfu, worthy of a visit with dinner in a typical Greek tavern.

Leg 2

Petriti / Sivota

Depending on the weather, we can head to Petriti, a characteristic fishing village, or Sivota with a stop in the bay on the adjacent islands.

Leg 3

Return to Corfu

There will therefore be no shortage of miles to do, heading to Corfu and, if you have enough time, stopping at the islands opposite. The arrival is scheduled in the same marina in the ancient Venetian fortress.

Leo e Rino sono skipper affidabili ed esperti, conoscono la zona dell'arcipelago e sono generosi nell'offrire possibilità di navigazione e balneazione secondo le esigenze dell'equipaggio. Davvero consigliati, affidatevi ai loro consigli.

È stato splendido poter navigare attraverso il mare di Tremiti e Gargano tutto per noi, senza la folla dei mesi estivi. La barca è ampia, pulita, ben organizzata e portarla a vela è sempre un piacere, specialmente lanciati al traverso in direzione San Domino ;) Posti magnifici, ottima compagnia e scorpacciate di buon cibo hanno caratterizzato tutta la vacanza. Leo è simpatico, disponibile e condivide volentieri i suoi skills come skipper, dando indicazioni in modo chiaro e calmo a chi vuole partecipare alla conduzione della barca. Buona Grecia! Spero di rivedervi presto per mare!

È stata un’ottima vacanza in buona compagnia. Lo skipper Leo è simpatico, affabile, disponibile e molto competente oltre che ottimo cuoco. La barca era pulita con cabine spaziose e confortevoli anche se purtroppo il clima non è stato caldissimo per cui alla sera a dormire ho avuto un po’ freddo nonostante ci fosse in dotazione un piumino. È andato comunque tutto bene, ho visto posti molto belli e arrivare dal mare nel cuore di paesi e città ritengo sia sempre un privilegio. Grazie a tutti

Leo è stato da subito uno skipper disponibile, simpatico e paziente. Ci ha accompagnato in un bel giro delle isole ioniche e ci ha fatto scoprire posti deliziosi, baie calme e porticcioli con un fascino di altri tempi. A bordo ha permesso (a chi voleva) di aiutarlo dando indicazioni e fiducia. Col passare della settimana abbiamo avuto modo anche di apprezzare le doti culinarie (pollo al curry incredibile, per esempio) e umane con piacevoli serate di chiacchiere. Non abbiamo avuto tantissimo vento ma un ogni occasione, navigazione, ormeggi, lettura del meteo, ha dato impressione di grande competenza. Non vedo l'ora di provare un'altra esperienza, in questi o altri mari. Grazie Leo, see you soon!
