Brief description of the holiday
Departure from Guadeloupe to the archipelago of Saintes on December 23, to settle near the village of Terre-de-Haut in Les Saintes and prepare for the Christmas feast. This festival is rooted in the Catholic tradition of the island and is the occasion for a great celebration. Midnight mass, concerts; the whole island is in turmoil, attracting many sailboats. People come from everywhere dancing in the open air in front of the local orchestra to the irresistible rhythm.
25th: Dominica , a completely different mountainous island, with an English-speaking culture, lush greenery and amazing natural sites to visit absolutely, in a sumptuous forest.
27th: Marie-Galante , low island, dedicated to sugar cane. Visit to a sugar mill and rum distillery without forgetting the beautiful beaches.
31st: New Year's party in Antigua , in the middle of hundreds of tall ships, unique atmosphere. Then return to Guadeloupe via the west coast with beautiful nature and diving stops.

Gibsea Master 522
My boat is a staysail cutter, designed for ocean sailing with a large crew, because it has 4 cabins and a kitchen made for the high seas. All the sails are on furling, they are maneuvered alone if necessary and it is a great security. As soon as the wind rises, we pack the genoa out of the staysail, and there, we can spread a big grain.Les equipments allow a great autonomy, up to a month. It feels safe, at the helm, in all the sea, even against the wind. It goes particularly well in a sea contrary, because its old hull has "hollow" and never hit.
