Brief description of the holiday
There's no better place than the Aegean sea for a sailing cruise and the Cyclades are the best islands in the Aegean! Here you'll find the typical whitewashed villages built on the top of the hills, the picturesque fishing villages overlooking the sea, the maze of alleys coloured by geraniums and bougainvillea, the taverns where you can try local cuisine, the paths that lead to secluded churches where you can enjoy breathtaking views on a cobalt-blue sea. The skipper is familiar with all these islands and he'll trace our route across the most beautiful and off the beaten track places; we mention Kythnos, Naoussa, Schinoussa, Koufonissi, Antikeros, Amorgòs and Anafi. This holiday is the first leg of our two-week Athens-Santorini-Athens cruise; it is possible to embark either for a sigle week or for the complete itinerary, with the assurance to visit different places (see Cyclades 2, from 18 August). Contact us for all the details and the best flight combinations!

Other important information
The boarding base is the Marina Alimos Kalamaki of Athens, easily reachable from the airport and the city centre by public transport (bus X96 and tram) and by shuttle services or taxi. The meeting for the crew will be preferably on the evening of Friday August 10th in Athens, so as to be all at the port on Saturday morning and set sail in the early afternoon. We have already booked some rooms in a hotel in Plaka, the historical centre of Athens. Everyone is free to choose a different accommodation or to arrive directly at the port on Saturday morning. The disembarking base is Santorini (Thira), an island served by an airport (JTR) that offers domestic flights to and from Athens and international flights to the major European cities. To save on the cost of the return flight, after landing you could plan a few days in Santorini.
