PROGRAM of principle PSERIMOS: It is located a few miles north of Kos. It is a small island ideal for an anchorage in a very protected bay with a beautiful beach and clear water like a swimming pool.
LIPSI: Small and quiet island located between Leros and Patmos, with beautiful bays. In the largest and safest is the port and the largest settlement on the island, Leiposoi. In the picturesque square there are taverns and small bars. With a walk you can reach the church of Panaghia Charou, the most important on the island.
ARKI: The largest of the
islet complex north of Lipsi. The marina with about 70 inhabitants is located in the innermost point of a fjord protected at the entrance by other islets. Beautiful anchorages between the various islets in clear blue water.
PATMOS: Long and narrow and very twisted, arid but with jagged coasts and rich in splendid anchorages, it must be traveled by motorbike to appreciate the gentle slopes and the numerous panoramic points. Cosmopolitan and full of tourists, however, it has retained its own personality. In Chora we find the imposing monastery of Agios Iannis Theologos from whose terrace you can admire a unique panorama that extends over almost all of Patmos and the nearby islands. There are many beautiful bays, some of which are sandy.
LEROS: It is the island of multiple and wonderful bays including Lakki, the largest and safest port in the Dodecanese. The northern bays between the Archangelos islets are wonderful for an anchorage. The scooter is ideal for visiting the settlements in the interior: Platanos, Agia Marina and Pandeli. The view from the castle is amazing as you can admire both the bays of the west coast and those of the east coast of the island. A downhill road then leads us to Agia Marina, the island's second port.
KALYMNOS: It is a mostly rocky island with many bays and sea caves. The capital is Pothia or Kalimnos, built as an amphitheater on the hillside, with the geometric shapes of the colorful houses, churches and picturesque streets, it gives the image of cheerfulness.
KOS: It is the tourist port from where we will sail, it is located in the center of the Dodecanese archipelago. It is a long island, with irregular coasts and fertile plains. The capital is a garden city where all the eras of history overlap in the shade of large trees or between groves of pink laurel.
NYSIROS: It is the volcano island. Few beaches, black rocks and white houses. What is most striking is the green found on the island. The road that rises and then descends inside the volcano winds in fact among splendid olive trees. You can go down inside the main crater (30mt deep); you will feel like walking in a lunar landscape!
Mandraki is the capital of the island, built under the imposing rocky mass of the Monastery of Panagia Spilianì and behind the black rocks scattered in front of the sea. Characterized by picturesque alleys and wonderful squares. The monastery, the medieval castle and the Acropolis are worth a visit. We will certainly stop one day to go on a moped excursion.
SYMI: It is one of the most picturesque islands of the Dodecanese, very close to the Turkish coast, with the mountains that descend almost precipitously to the sea, creating wonderful bays. Chorio 'is captivating, it climbs the two hills that flank the port and reaching the two peaks creates a single city.
AGATHONISSI: It is the northernmost island of the Dodecanese, it consists of three large traditional settlements (Agios Georgios, Megalo Chorio and Mikro Chorio). The sea is an enchantment.
ASTIPALEA: It is the westernmost island of the Dodecanese, located at the point where the Dodecanese and the Cyclades archipelago meet. This is why Astypalea has the characteristics of both island complexes. You can't miss a visit to the Chora, the island's capital and the port.
