To start, thank you for asking us, it is a matter of pride for us!
Below we propose a typical itinerary to discover the Aeolian Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The sailing holidays with us start every Saturday afternoon after 18:30 from Lipari. SATURDAY
... finally arrived: the holiday begins! We will welcome you with a "Welcome" aperitif on board and typical Sicilian snacks carefully prepared by us, also an opportunity for a briefing on everything related to safety on board: a few rules but necessary to make your holiday unique and unforgettable. The first evening we will go to have dinner in a typical restaurant in the heart of Lipari and it will also be an opportunity to visit the first of the seven wonders of the Mediterranean.
SUNDAY
The next morning, after a hearty breakfast on board, we will leave the moorings and after having hoisted the sails, we will put our bow on course for Lisca Bianca . We will moor and the desire to dive into the crystal clear water will be the first thought of the day but above all it will be fun to get carried away by the bubbles of the Geysers among the sulfurous hot water. After lunch we will head to Stromboli where we will spend the first night in front of the spectacular perennially active volcano. Here it will be possible to carry out the excursion at high altitude with the guides (by reservation) for a breathtaking sunset during the explosive phases of "Iddu". It is also possible to rent a small boat to admire the sunset from the sciara and see the explosions of "Iddu" from the sea. It will also be the first night of your week lulled by the sea ready and excited for the day to come.
MONDAY
The day after our route will point towards Panarea and we will spin the chain in the Milazzese Bay. A nice dip in front of one of the few beaches of the Aeolian Islands is a must before a lunch in a bay where it is still possible to visit the remains of the Bronze Age village on the southern promontory. In the afternoon a walk to the village of Panarea with the "golf buggy" (but also on foot in 15 minutes) to reach the center of the Aeolian nightlife is inevitable. As an aperitif is inevitable watching the colors of Basiluzzo that change during the sunset and then dine in the tradition of Aeolian cuisine.
TUESDAY
Route to Pollara (Salina) natural amphitheater famous for the shooting of the film “Il Postino” by Massimo Troisi. Some natural caves look after small fishing boats and the scenery seems to be from other times. After lunch we will head to Filicudi and land in Pecorini, a hamlet to the south, meeting place for evening aperitifs with typical Sicilian dishes accompanied by local Malvasia. The view of the hamlet on one side and the sea on the other is the ideal place to dine in the cockpit and admire the sunset.
WEDNESDAY
In the morning we will circumnavigate the island to the Canna, a 71 meter high cliff that represents the last eruptive phase of about 40,000 years ago. Here the Queen's Falcon nests and lives one of the Aeolian lizard subspecies that today unfortunately risks extinction. Do not miss the circumnavigation of the Canna with mask and fins in search of the Brown Grouper, Dentex or Perchia. We will say goodbye to Filicudi and aim for the island of Salina , to reach Santa Marina di Salina where we will moor and after a nice swim we will be able to visit the town. It will be possible to have a tasting of local wines (by reservation) in the cellars now famous all over the world for the production of Malvasia and to dine on the typical "pane cunsato" in Lingua, southern tip of Salina.
THURSDAY
After breakfast we will sail towards the Pomici and moor in front of what were once the factories of their processing. After lunch we will put the bow towards Vulcano and we will moor at the black sands, a beach of volcanic sand. It will be possible to make an excursion on the Volcano , where the landscape leaves you breathless and then a relaxing break - just enough time for digestion - in the ideal place for fishing for Occhiate con le gallette. From here the view of the sunset is spectacular because the sun hides between Alicudi and Filicudi.
FRIDAY
Head south, Mulberry . The southernmost lighthouse of the Aeolian Islands. Here too there is a black sand beach and if you want you can visit a small cellar where the passito is produced. After lunch and after having hoisted the sails, the bow of our boat will point to the castle of Lipari where we will moor in the marina. Only we will realize that the week has flown by and unfortunately by nine the next morning, after breakfast, we will say goodbye as if we had spent a lifetime together.
