review about Sailing to the island of Elba August 2022
with Lorenzo P. 48 years old
This holiday is fully booked!
Greetings to the whole crew!
For these 6 days of sailing I would like to head to Capraia , to dine at the Agriturismo, obviously based on fish caught on the island, to head to Capo Corso , and to enjoy a fish soup in a local restaurant ... on the island of Elba maybe for a walk at sunset on the beach of Procchio ... or to sleep in the Gulf of Biodola .... I would add ... endless dives ;-), evenings under the stars and lots of laughter. ...
If you like this, and you have inside that adventure spirit of those who feel a little pirate ... get on board with me :-)

My boat is a Dehler 39 cws designed by the Dutch studio Van de Stadt in 1991, it is designed for a fast cruise, without losing sight of safety and ease of handling.
For this reason, all maneuvers are sent back to the cockpit which is equipped with an electric winch, thus allowing navigation even with a small crew.
It is 12.15 m long and a maximum beam width of 3.80 m, the sail rig consists of a full batten mainsail, self-tacking jib, non-luffed genoa and spinnaker.
Internally it has two double cabins aft, and a master cabin in the bow, there are two bathrooms, one in the bow adjacent to the owner's cabin and the other near the aft cabins, both equipped with hot water.
Large dinette and kitchen with oven and refrigerator.
Heating in all cabins that allows you to experience the boat even in the winter season.
I traveled a lot before I found it, I looked for it in Sardinia, Barcelona, Malta and then found it in Croatia 3 years ago.
With her I sailed along the Croatian coasts, made the tour of Italy passing through the channel of Otranto, the Gulf of Taranto, the Strait of Messina, Stromboli and Panarea, Agropoli Ischia and Capri, the Pontine archipelago.
Now we have stopped in Livorno, our home. The Tuscan archipelago, and Corsica is where we spend our summers. The most frequent destinations are Capraia, the island of Elba and Capo Corso.

A little information before departure... We recommend soft luggage; just one, don't forget ;-) (a bag and not a trolley with wheels, in short) so you can stow it easily. Remember that on a boat we need very few things, so if you have that shirt in your hands that you are adding with the idea "but yes, come on, I'll bring this too", put it down; you won't need it ;-) If you want a parking space that you can walk to: Modern Parking STP Parking
