This is a holiday dedicated to
Brief description of the holiday
This journey is a life experience that can only be told once lived. The boat involved is not a common boat but it is the first Italian boat that has crossed the borders of these lands and the skipper at the head of the expedition is the first and so far the only Italian to have completed the circumnavigation of the Arctic , first with Northwest Passage in 2012, starting from Tromsø in Norway, arriving in Alaska, then with the Northeast Passage in 2019 returning to Tromsø passing north of Siberia.
There are many reasons for choosing this experience, first of all the emotion that a trip of this type can give : crossing the ice, merging into white nature, in a silence of rare purity. Added to this are the unmistakable landscapes of northern Europe , the typical fauna of these areas and last but not least, the chance to spot the magical lights of the Northern Lights .
During the 7 stages of this journey, we will observe the great cetaceans of the North Sea , such as whales and dolphins, as well as seals and other Arctic animals , unfortunately some of which are in the process of disappearing. You will come into contact with the Nordic communities , with their customs and traditions, with their traditions and their cuisine.
Last consideration, no less important, this journey will lead to the awareness of how much this part of the world is in constant and very rapid evolution due to climate change : it is possible that in a few years today's landscape will no longer be observable.

The itinerary of this stage:
Beyond Bergen, once we have passed the southern tip of Norway, we will go up the coast out of the Norwegian Sea, the northern part of the Atlantic Ocean, now in what is called Skagerrak , up to the gates of Oslo.
Just south of Bergen in the mountains is another spectacular fjord: Hardangerfjord , which we can visit if we wish.
All along the Norwegian coast the inlets and fjords are so numerous and long that it could take forever to visit them all. Although all different scenarios resemble each other, with small settlements backed most of the times by dense woods, with piers for mooring fishing boats and colorful houses on the banks.
At the mouth of the Hardangerfjord is Moster where Christianity was introduced in Norway in 995 and where there is one of the oldest stone churches in the country.
A little further south ends the internal route that extends with a few interruptions towards the north to the northern end of Norway and after a few miles we meet Stavanger , an ancient city and commercial port, especially for oil 0321 in a landscape now far from the chain of mountains that gave us accompanied up to here.
South of Stavanger we will face a stretch of coast exposed to the sea and we will have to respect what the weather forecast will say.
Further on we will enter as far as Larvik in what is considered a paradise of towns, each with its own set of delightful rocks and islets to protect the coast, while having to face the whims of the Skagerrak between one and the other.
Here the tides are not very sensitive, unlike what is already experienced in Bergen and beyond to the north.
Check out the crew!
Best 51 Cnd
My boat is a 25-ton steel cutter built for great navigation with in mind above all solidity and safety. Arctic, tropics, equator and ocean have thoroughly tested these qualities. It is also surprisingly quick enough with light winds, which does not --hidden-- allows us to use sail in many conditions. The instrumentation is overwhelming, the kitchen is very efficient, the security and support equipment is very rich. It has a large covered well that proved to be a formidable element of comfort even to the equator. The deck is completely covered with an effective anti-slip. 1der deck there are 5 cabins for a total of 12 beds, but only 4 are normally used, the fifth, forward, most of10 is in10ded for galley and warehouse for the equipment. There are 3 independent electric baths with hot and cold water and shower. 1,600 liters of water and 1,800 of diesel fuel ensure a great autonomy.
