Brief description of the holiday
A weekend to experience the thrill of sailing as a travel and discovery experience, in contact with the sea and the natural elements. From Palermo, after a half-day cruise you reach Ustica, one of the jewels of the Mediterranean, not frequented by the usual routes of pleasure for its isolated position compared to the other islands of Sicily. The protected marine area and the nature reserve have made sure that the island has been maintained but wild, a true paradise for those who love long walks in nature and the sea. The island is small and on foot you can do the full tour in one day, along the wonderful paths of Mezzogiorno and Tramontana. The boat will also be your home in these three days; on board you will find a familiar environment and an experienced crew ready to take care of you and introduce whoever enjoyed the basics of seafaring culture. The program can change according to the weather.
Viva 48, Cantiere Fiberstamp
The Viva 48 is a solid and sturdy sailboat, built with mastery to ensure good navigation and safety performance. Designed by Alfeo Scattolin in the late '70s as cruise-racer on the lines of Faram-Serenissima, his other creation of little previous one that had obtained several excellent results in the regattas of that period. The slender lines and the shape of the hull typical of the IOR class, give this boat remarkable sailing performance and the navigation is comfortable and safe in all weather conditions. The deck offers ample space both for the maneuver and for the relaxation of the guests on board. The interiors are simple and collected, cared for with love and characterized by the welcoming spirit of a boat that is also a home. There are 4 cabins (one for the crew) and two bathrooms. On board we try never to occupy the dinette to ensure maximum comfort for our guests; the boat can comfortably accommodate 6 people in the case of families with children, when our guests are all adults we prefer not to travel with more than 5 people. Each cabin has its own 12 V power socket and the boat has a 3.5 kW generator for 220 V power. Other technical details and equipment: Sloop rig, rigging 2018, full batten mainsail, lazy bag, genoa roller shutter, staysail on mobile tripod and flying shrouds, Iveco Aifo 95 hp engine, 220V Mase 3.5 KW generator set, Simrad GPS chart, VHF, Delta 20 Kg anchor, Quick anchor windlass 2015, 3.20 m tender with outboard motor 3 , 5 hp, diesel oil 500 liters, water 600 liters, water heater, fridge, gas cooker, microwave, stereo with CD player, large awning, sheets.

Other important information
We may take only what you need stored in bags or soft bags that can be stowed when empty. Essential to a pair of shoes to be used only by boat. Do not forget a sleeping bag, a jacket and a hat. We do not recommend bringing equipment to 220 volts "superfluous" type hair dryer (found on board), plate for the hair, electric shavers etc .. In each cabin is a 12-volt socket for charging electronic devices, so we recommend to carry chargers with uSB plug on board they only use biodegradable products, including personal hygiene.
