Brief description of the holiday
It's a club race of about 125 miles. Departure is Saturday morning and return is scheduled for sunday late afternoon. There are generally around 20 boats. It's not a particularly challenging race. The crew will be 8-9 people, who serve for night shifts. The 3 guests will collaborate in all maneuvers, including use of the spi and the gennaker. The costs are for the galley, light, and for registration for the regatta. Guests must sign a waiver or have a personal accident insurance. If you want you can stay overnight by boat on Friday evening
Comet 12 R
It is a boat of 12.60 meters (42 feet). It is set up both as a racing boat and as a cruising boat. It has a large dinette with 3 beds (but I prefer not to use), with a 3-burner stove, a refrigerator, a dressing table and numerous cupboards. 3 cabins: a large double cabin aft with a bathroom that can be private, on the right, and a cabin with bunk beds aft to the left. At the bow the third cabin. matrimonial. Other bathroom with shower.
Outside: garnet red, very elegant. Drawing a little dated. In practice, for those who know the history of Italian boats, this is a small "Azzurra", a project by Vallicelli. Motorized with a 60 hp Lombardini. Renovated in deck equipment in 2005.
The attached photos were taken, for the interior, without cushions and other furnishings because we are participating in the winter championship.

Other important information
Giannutri is a small island in the national park of the Tuscan islands. It is about 65 miles from Fiumicino. It's a regatta vacation, so don't relax. Those with a minimum of sailing experience can participate. We will be 5 or 6 for the crew that normally races on the boat. Heavy clothing because the night is cold.
