Brief description of the holiday
The green country, as described by the first Viking navigators who
docked there in the year 1000, east mainly on its south coast
But its East coast shows a significant freezing, due to the descent of a polar current that drives icebergs and pack into break-up.
It is one of the most isolated places on our planet. It is not possible to access it only a few weeks a year.
From Kulusuk / Tassilaq, our goal will be the discovery glacial landscapes around the island of Ammassalik, Sermilik Fjord and the wild coast between Ikertivaq and Steenstrup; under immense mountains we will admire life marine and land, disembark ashore, navigate with our kayaking, enjoy swimming and snorkeling for the most brave.
At the end of the day we will enjoy local products in admiring the play of light on icebergs and peaks.
Maybe we will have the chance to see a polar bear?
Duration: three weeks - about 1100 Nm.
