Brief description of the holiday
GREENLAND : The Green-Land, as it was
named by the first Vikings who arrived of the South-West
On the East coast, instead, there is a massive glaciers with polar winds. This is one of the most isolated place on Earth, and you can visit it just for few weeks in a year.
We will set sails from Isafjordur which is in Iceland and we will discover the wild coast between Kangerdlussuaq Fjord and Scoresby Sund (Blosseville land), to see Greenland’s highest mountains. There are many different activities just waiting for us, like discovering marine life, exploring lands, bathing or practicing apnea (for the bravest ones). We might also have the chance to see a white-bear!
Our journey will last 2 weeks, around 1100 Nm
Baltic 55 (1989)
My boat is the last Baltic 55 built, hull number 9. She is fast, very seaworthy, comfortable and very fun to sail in any conditions.
She allows us to stay in very remotes places for extended periods of time, thanks to her range and her energy production capacities :
Highly efficient sail propulsion, with the best sailing state of the art ;
Many means to provide and store electrical energy ;
Important food supplies storage ;
Heating and electricity 24/7 on board.
Amphibious capabilities :
Kayaks, for small raids and stealth marine mammals watching ;
Professional Dinghies, high load and electric engines.
55 feet long (16,7 m) - 22 tons - Water 750 liters - Fuel 600 liters ;
Three privates cabins, each with their own toilets ;
Many storage and technical areas ;
Reliable 125 Hp main engine with Brunton’s AUTOPROP propeller ;
Diesel Genset, Wind generator, Water maker ;
Quantum composite Sails, total 14 sails including Gennaker, Spinnakers, Jibs and Genoas.
We provide exceptional accommodations for 4 passengers/crewmembers for expeditions trips in complete autonomy.
We offer tailor made trips and we constantly adapt the trip for your safety and your entertainment.
Our trip starts here
Saturday 13 July from 9:00 until the Saturday 13 July at 21:00
Our trip ends here
