  Chief Operating Officer


As a Chief Operating Officer you’ll be responsible for the growth and quality of Sailsquare’s offer, as well as for support and sales service.

We are looking for a graduate owning some years of experience in pre and post-sales support, as well as in team creation and management, possibly in a start-up environment or in the travel sector.
You must also possess excellent planning and organizational skills, ability to define processes and procedures, and a high confidence with new technologies and web-based tools, in order to constantly improve our users’ service and the efficiency of the Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing strategies for expanding the marketplace’s supplier base and offer, by adjusting and evolving programs over time to meet business goals;
  • Building new relationships and improve existing connections with key partners and marketplace providers;
  • Constantly improving the experience of Sailsquare’s users, working together with other managers in order to develop new features and improve existing processes;
  • Guaranteeing the quality of existing offer, through a constant monitoring, as well as through the creation and implementation of appropriate incentive and quality-control systems;
  • Selecting and recruiting people to join the Operations team;
  • Leading the team by setting clear roles and expectations, holding people accountable, reviewing progress, and providing constant feedback and guidance;
  • Implement compensation, training, and incentive programs within the Operations team, together with the CEO and HR department;
  • Build and nurture a positive team culture, focusing on Sailsquare’s core values and acting as a role model for the company culture.

The ideal candidate for this position:

  • Has earned a 3-4 year-experience in sales or account management in B2C or B2B2C companies, including 2+ years coordinating small teams dedicated to pre/post-sales support;
  • Possesses strong “business acumen” and marked organizational skills;
  • Is a superhero in planning activities and he/she is completely at ease with the creation of a business case or a spreadsheet to monitor KPIs;
  • Has excellent communication and leadership skills, together with a strong energy mixed to passion and creativity;
  • Is result-oriented, ambitious and not scared to raise the bar of goals all the time;
  • Understands and is familiar with a startup tech environment: from Customer Care support tools to CRM and marketing automation, up to productivity tools, both individual and group ones;
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of online marketplace dynamics;
  • Speaks english perfectly and possesses a good level of italian (knowing a third language is a plus);
  • Owning a Master Degree in Business or Economics is a plus.

  Performance Marketing Manager


As a Performance Marketing Manager your mission is designing and developing acquisition strategies by using paid digital channels, in order to guarantee the correct balance between constant growth on international basis and optimization of marketing expenditures.

We are looking for a person with some years of experience in performance marketing, earned in agencies or startups, possibly in the travel field.
You will gain a key role inside the marketing team, managing directly the paid acquisition budget to improve its efficiency constantly. Therefore, you must possess an analytical approach and great executive skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Defining Online Marketing Mix: strategy, budget, channels;
  • Planning, managing, implementing and analyzing all paid digital campaigns (Search, Social, display/retargeting, affiliation, etc.) constantly optimizing CPA, LTV, ROI;
  • Measuring results of the actions on the platform aimed at improving the funnel;
  • Working in close contact with the whole Marketing team - SEO, communication, design - the Development Team and the Operations to plan and define more and more efficient campaigns;
  • Provide the Development team directions on modifications to be done on the platform to improve the main KPI and precise tracking of campaigns;
  • Analyzing constantly the traffic (paid and not paid) sharing results with the rest of Marketing team and Sailsquare’s Board.

The ideal candidate for this position is:

  • Has earned a 4-5 year-experience in similar positions, acquiring an excellent knowledge of performance marketing; the candidate knows perfectly Google Adwords, Facebook Ads and other main paid acquisition tools (Retargeting, RTB, Affiliation, Native, etc.);
  • He/she demonstrates to possess a highly analytical and data-driven mind; he’s obsessed with conversion and driven by performance results;
  • Someone who’s expert of attribution modelling, campaigns tracking (Google Tag Manager) and knows perfectly the main tools of traffic analysis;
  • Speaks English fluently and possesses a good level of Italian (knowing a third language will be considered a plus)
  • Owning a Master Degree is considered a plus

  SEO Manager


As a SEO Manager you’ll be responsible for the optimization of Sailsquare visibility on search engines in order to increase organic reach.

We are looking for someone owning some years of experience in SEO management, both in agencies and/or startup environment, possibly in the travel field.
You will perform a key role inside the marketing team, finding the most efficient best practices and organizing all the activities with the aim to increase organic reach internationally following an “end-to-end” principle.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning organic reach growth and identifying SEO opportunities at all levels;

  Social Media & Communication Specialist


As a Social Media & Communication Specialist you will be involved in several Marketing & Communications operations of Sailsquare; you need to be ambitious, curious, think out of the box and bring your experience inside Marketing & Communication Team.

Also, you must be brilliant in content creation and social media management (especially with Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Linkedin). You will work along the Communication Manager for PR activities, event planning and Community Management.

Being passionate about sailing is a strong plus, but if you are a newbie, you’ll be offered a full immersion in this field to better understand its dynamics.

Responsibilities:

  • Producing contents for social media and defining the related editorial plan;
  • Working together with Marketing Team to design communication projects and PR activities;
