Your holiday in the paradisiacal sea of Ibiza & Formentera

There would be a lot of things to say indeed when I see the other opinions 1) the boat: it corresponds to the one on the sheet but it is not new as the photos suggest; It is certainly comfortable but the sails are really old and some equipment should be reviewed 2) Captain Angelo: he is certainly experienced but probably worn out by 10 years of charter: welcome on the first day limited to the strict minimum (no welcome drink, unrolled list of rules, some of which are absurd), no real desire to sail unless he is expressly asked or if he is pointed out that there is enough wind, lack of transparency on the real consumption of diesel, inappropriate attitude towards the single women of the boat, mistreatment of his crew member Paul who was exhausted by 3 months of living with the captain 3) crew: some were more there to eat and drink than to sail, I was in the 2nd category; I found it strange that the ship's box did not take this into account because clearly we did not have the same alcohol consumption, not to mention what was left at the end of the navigation and which should have been deducted; So indeed the atmosphere was not good; As far as the toilets are concerned, yes they were clogged by me (misunderstanding the instructions) and I cleaned them which is normal 4) navigation: it was limited to the strict minimum, on the second day there was 15 knots of wind and we stayed at anchor for 24 hours doing only a quarter of an hour on the engine to change location; no consultation was made with the crew; It is not possible to participate in anything about the operation of the boat

Beautiful experience ! The boat was spotlessly clean and organized. The captain was very competent and helpful, very organized to the point of resembling a woman 😂😂 We are amazed by Sandrine's review as she boasts the experience of 10 cruises but something does not add up as her group threw toilet paper in the toilet (clogging 2 bathrooms and precluding others from using it) and making improper use of the water as if they were at home, forcing the captain to call them back, only for the common good of the whole crew. The commander was never rude to anyone, he simply asked for respect for the rules that also applied to himself. Unfortunately, the sea was not favorable. But the commander certainly cannot be blamed for this. Top experience! Camilla - Tarcisio - Monica

This was my tenth cruise and by far the most disappointing... Captain Angelo was very rude to his crew and customers. Derogatory remarks, open contempt... Total absence of participation in the manoeuvres. Its choices of anchorages are always crowded and of little interest. and the very limited use of sails. A positive point: the beautiful color of the sea. An attitude unworthy of a captain who turned this trip into a real disillusionment.

Filippo is not only a knowledgeable, super attentive and caring captain, but also a remarkable gourmet cook and a very nice and interesting person: patient, fun, and flexible. He was perfectly supported by Max, whom we greatly appreciated for being always available as well as for his kindness, discretion and sense of humour. If you are looking for an authentic sailing holiday to enjoy Formentera's beautiful sea and breathtaking sunsets in a genuinely friendly and relaxed context, this is definitely for you and highly recommended! The overall description and the FAQs available on the website are worth reading as they provide a clear and exhaustive description of what you can expect. We were very lucky both with the weather and the group and spent a memorable week onboard Filippo's boat. Special mention to lovely Nao! Thanks a million Filippo, we will definitely go back!

The best destinations to visit during your sailing holidays in the Balearics:

Sailing holidays in Mallorca

Mallorca is the largest island, where you can find culture, leisure, relaxation, nature, and adventure. Many of Mallorca’s beaches are considered to be the most beautiful in the whole of the Mediterranean. You can walk or bike around the bay, stopping at El Arenal, Illetas, and Santa Ponça - they are all beaches with crystalline waters and fine white sand. Breathe in the aroma of the pines that surround the city and many of its coves. And if you are interested in other types of curiosities, discover the Tramuntana mountain range, the Drach caves and the coastal paths of Formentor, where you can take long walks along the seashore. Don't forget to visit the city of Palma with its monumental cathedral and other charming villages such as Valldemossa with the most magical sunsets on the island, Deià with its picturesque stone houses, Sóller with an exceptional treasure under the sea, and Pollença if you are looking for peace and rest.

Sailing holidays in Minorca

Otherwise known as the Green Island - has managed to cultivate an oasis of wildlife, using natural resources sparingly to promote the ecosystems of the endemic species. Since 1993, the entire island of Minorca has been recognised by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve.

Sailing holidays in Cabrera

Another precious natural jewel of the Balearics - has also been recognised for its different marine and coastal wildlife. In 1991, it was classified as a National Park, and is home to rare falcons, Caspian gulls, dolphins, and indigenous flora and fauna.

Sailing holidays in Ibiza

Ibiza is characterised by its typical white houses, its small and charming fishing villages, beautiful coves, and active nightlife. This island offers a very varied offer both in terms of culture as nature as well as leisure and partying. Whether it's to celebrate a special occasion on a boat party in Ibiza, or to enjoy a weekend exploring the island’s various nightlife options. The best DJs in the world come to Ibiza in the summer months to entertain thousands of people in the most popular clubs on the island, such as Pachá, Ushuaïa and Amnesia. Sailing trips around Ibiza are perfect for this type of occasion, as there is nothing better than resting on the deck of a sailboat after a night of dancing, you can recharge on the way to the small paradises such as Cala Talamaca and Cala Llonga. Some of Ibiza's dream villages are Santa Eulalia, Sant Carles, Sant Joan - and beautiful beaches such as Cala Blanca and Es Canar.

Sailing holidays in Formentera

Formentera, also called the island of pines, where peace and tranquillity charm you in the first seconds. This island is a natural wonder, where you will find dreamy beaches as if taken from a fairy tale, extraordinary underwater caves and secret coves made of fine white sand. You can take a sailboat or catamaran from Ibiza to Formentera to relax in Cala Saona, one of the most beautiful places on the island located in Sant Francesc Xavier. Then, you can head to Las Salinas, another place of great natural beauty. And if you travel to the south-east of Formentera, you will find El Mirador de La Mola, where you can enjoy some of the best views in the Mediterranean, especially if you do so during a magical sunset.
