About me

My experience

I'm born in Marseilles so I'm sailing since I'm 4 y.o. with my father, then bought my first sailing boat in 1979 and sailed single handed the Med for and bought about 10 years. Bought in 1987 and 1967 Admiraler's Cup sailing vessel, and made a round trip of Europe from Breskens to Marseilles. Went to California for about 12 years and bought in 1995 an English pilot cutter circa 1903 named Grisette and sailed her in 1996 to Le Havre. I'm currently living on board my Hanse 400 in Sardinia e Sicilia.

Exclusive boat for a family or a couple on the magical waters of Sardinia

Italy

The boat is very performing sailing, the hull clean, but the game of sails is stressed by age. Everything is only suitable for a basic sailing course. Cruise talking about a real disaster! The skipper welcomes you criticizing the amount of luggage 2 per person, all the bags were soft and medium in size. We set sail towards Tavolara, he says that he does not go to La Maddalena in August, too much yachting traffic, which is regardless of the weather conditions! Criticism of using drinking water for showers, Unreasonable! The restoration in port is our responsibility. The night is spent at anchor, for us it was fine, but you have no choice. Inability to charge electronic devices except with the engine running. The kitchen is entrusted to the guests, but criticizes the culinary ability (were we on vacation or at MasterChef?) stress for dinner before dark, so as not to waste energy from the batteries on board. Ultimately the boat is his home and you find yourself to be an unwelcome guest!

The magic of Sardinian waters.

The boat is well maintained, has some improvable appearance, but those who take a sailing holiday know that a minimum must adapt. As a skipper nothing to say: he has great experience and, for those interested, he knows how to explain the secrets of the sailboat well. The problem is that the description of the ad does NOT correspond to reality at all. Despite the favorable weather, Patrice skipped ALL the stages indicated in the announcement (apart from Molara, thanks to our insistence). Alla Maddalena had no intention of going there, from the beginning. We gave up the last 2 days of boat (already paid) to be able to go there by land. In the management of the galley guests are left to their own devices, even if they lack experience on a sailing boat. Preparation of meals really at the union minimum. Patrice is nice but very gruff, there were moments of tension and misunderstandings. Expect to always sleep at anchor. Price very expensive for what it offers.

Simply beautiful, a dream week! Patrice is much more than a seasoned captain: his professionalism, his rigor, his history, his friends, his good humor, his humor, his desire to share his passion with his guests, have made this trip an unforgettable passage of our lives. His knowledge of the territory and his good addresses made us discover authentic Sardinia in dazzling landscapes. If you like sailing, then go for it, this trip is for you.
