About me

My name is Riccardo, I started sailing by throwing myself headlong into regattas. Over time I became more and more passionate about the sea to the point of making it a profession and a lifestyle. I try to spend as much time as possible on it, respecting it and living it in all its nuances. I love nature and meeting new people. I practice many sports both on land such as climbing and flying with paragliding and sea sports such as underwater fishing and surfing. The most exciting thing on a sailing boat is the moment when you turn off the engine and you hear only the sound of the sea and the wind.

My experience

I started with regattas and, 6 years ago, I embarked on my journey working as a deckhand on charter boats and transfers. Later I obtained the nautical license without limits, accumulating experience during the different seasons in the Mediterranean and dealing with transfers in the winter period. This year I obtained the Yachtmaster offshor - Sail and the STCW certificates.

The boat is too small to comfortably accommodate 4 adults. The destination is worthwhile because the coast of Lampedusa is bathed by a sea that has fantastic colors. The skipper is very competent and managed the navigation in the best possible way given the often unfavorable weather conditions, always offering us an alternative, even by land, where a destination was not reachable or it was a matter of facing 4-5 hours of DAYTIME offshore navigation to Linosa. The skipper prepared breakfast and lunch with various local products that were always fresh and much appreciated. The per capita quota for galley and fuel has raised some perplexity due to the lack of daily expense reports which did not allow the required amount to be verified.
