About me

49 y/o, entrepreneur, Looking for friends sharing my passion for relaxed but intense sailing, only on sail boats. I am a quite patient guy, loving nice boats and seas, cold or warm. After having professionally spend 15 years at sea, I do love it more and more and just had buy a bigger ship for discovering the southern oceans and landscape ; chartering or just sail there for fun with friends - Sailing and living at sea is magic :-) Looking for friends having the same conception of sailing than me : Autonomy, Fun, Serious, Exploration, True respect for nature and mankind. Good experience in sailing and heavy weather required. Yacht Master offshore (2016, passed in the Solent) - retired French Navy Officer and Diver. Sailed the North sea, Channel and North Atlantic, whole W Med Sea, some Arabian Sea and Patagonia. Owned a swan 38 for the last 25 years. Very focused on security on board, safety is paramount. J'ai eu la chance d'avoir des parents qui m'ont toujours poussé à réaliser mes rêves ; de skipper du voilier familial à 15 ans, puis officier de Marine et Plongeur démineur, j'ai parcouru presque toutes les mers du globe, dans toutes les conditions possibles. Aujourd'hui, je désire partager mon expérience et ma passion de la mer avec d'autres passionnes, respectueux de la nature. Skipper et coproprietaire du SWAN 38 PIZCO, depuis 1985 ; Commandement du navire de plongée VULCAIN en 1999 ; Propriétaire et Skipper du BALTIC 55 GRYNING depuis 2015 - 6000 Nq parcourus en Mer Baltique, mer du Nord, Atlantique et Méditerranée. Mes envies de découvertes me poussent aujourd'hui vers les mer polaires, Arctique puis Antarctique, que je serai enchanté de découvrir avec vous.

Very nice week in the Westfords, an experienced and vigilant captain, a very comfortable and maneuverable boat, an excellent international atmosphere. A weather sometimes capricious, but this navigation on the wild coast offers magnificent landscapes with very beautiful lights in function of the hour and beautiful hikes.

Stephane is not only an outstanding sailing master, but he is a truly nice and interesting person, a lovely shipowner who makes you feel at home since from the very first beginning. He is very attentive to the needs of his crew, and able to transmit its passion for sailing and life at sea. And he has a wonderful boat, seaworthy and fast, and not just because is a Baltic (already a guarantee in terms of quality and safety) but thanks to the way and love Stephane takes care of it. It's very spacious and confortable with amenities of all kind. I spent more than 2 weeks with him and his friendly crew and was one of the best sailing trip I have ever done (and luckily I had many). We sailed more than 1,000 miles, experienced different kind of weather, wind and sea conditions, sailed night watching under clear starry skies, anchored in beautiful bays, had lot of fun, delicious meals, wines and talks, and so many other lovely memories to tell. I do really had a great time, thanks Stephane!

Stéphane is a skipper of great experience, very demanding and knowing how to make himself understood without authoritarianism or unnecessary chatter. The choices of navigation are cautious but do not exclude either the difficulties that make the salt of a crossing. When the wind is not there, he knows how to choose interesting resting places where the crew is not bored: diving, visits, panoramas. In addition, he is a very good travel companion and, even more remarkable, a gourmet and very good cook (see lamb stew and bluefin tuna, God willing)! The on-board body is excellent and very, very affordable. As announced, this sailboat is truly an exceptional boat: fast, safe, comfortable and very well equipped. For those who love the action, it is a boat that does not advance alone and requires a real work of the crew at the maneuver. Experienced sailors as well as the less expert will find their account.
