This experience, in a nutshell

Take advantage of the June 2nd long weekend to treat yourself to four days away from the routine, experiencing the sea in the most authentic way: aboard a sailboat, among the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago.

We will depart from Marina di Cala de' Medici for a mini cruise dedicated to Elba and Capraia, alternating navigation, bays reachable from the sea, baths, aperitifs at sunset and evenings at anchor or in the small ports of the islands.

The goal is not to follow a rigid program, but to live the holiday according to the rhythms of the sea. The skipper will choose the best route every day according to the weather conditions, trying to offer the best possible balance between sailing, relaxation and discovery.

Capraia will welcome us with its wild nature, volcanic coasts and transparent waters. On Elba we will have the opportunity to explore bays, small villages and some of the most beautiful corners of the island.

The holiday is suitable for both those who already have sailing experience and those who get on board for the first time. Those who wish can actively participate in the management of the boat, maneuvers and navigation; Those who prefer to relax can simply enjoy the ride.

The experience

During these four days you will be able to:

sailing between Elba and Capraia;
sleeping in the roadstead under the stars;
swim in bays that can be reached mainly from the sea;
participate in maneuvers and learn something about sailing;
discover small ports and villages on the islands;
Experience the boat without rigid plans and without the rush of a classic day trip.

The program and the order of the islands can be modified by the skipper based on weather and sea conditions, always favoring safety and quality of experience.

Fun boat in sailing. Too bad for the weather conditions of the previous days that made the sea not optimal. Still pleasant experience throughout. I recommend, for the optimal training of the guest crew, to plan the mood of the experience in advance. Thanks again to skipper Nicola who made us experience the thrill of upwind ⛵😊👍🏻

It was our first time on a sailing boat and, although the weather allowed us to do only a day tour staying on the coast, it was still a new and interesting experience. I understand the fact that weather and wave conditions are not easy to predict well in advance and that no one has the power of arbitrariness of them, but we would have appreciated a more proactive attitude on the part of the skipper in managing the starts. And above all, we would have preferred more clarity from the outset on the fact that, in the event of rough seas, the journey could have been reduced to a stay in the port of Rosignano or a simple day trip along the coast, without reaching the islands. Being 9 plus the skipper, the spaces were sometimes a bit tight, especially during meals. I believe that greater attention to the organization of the kitchen, common areas and lockers could make the holiday even more comfortable for everyone. Overall it was a good experience, with some organizational aspects that, with small tricks, could be improved.
