This experience, in a nutshell

Boarding from Split (Split) possible transfer from Porto Santa Margherita (optional).

Saturday Boarding at 5.00 pm, preparation of the galley and accommodation on the boat, assignment of the cabins and a short navigation briefing.

• Sunday : We set sail, sailing towards the first destination, the island of Vis, for a regenerating swim in one of its splendid bays and visit one of the most evocative places in Croatia: Blue Cave, a spectacular and atmospheric cave magical. Night at anchor under the stars.

• Monday : We proceed towards the island of Corcula, characteristic for its medieval center where we will go down for a small visit through the typical streets of the city. After a beautiful relaxing bath we will anchor in the harbor to enjoy the sunset and spend the night.

• Tuesday : Continue our navigation .. hunting dolphins to head towards our next destination: Mijet, famous for its National Park. Surrounded by lush vegetation and the continuous song of the cicadas we will take a dip in crystal clear water. Evening at the buoy and then with the Tender ashore.

• Wednesday : we are ready to point our bow towards the wonderful city of Dubrovnick, a rare pearl along the Croatian coast, full of palaces, churches and fountains that are reflected in the blue of the Adriatic Sea and tell the fascinating history of the city. Night in port.

• Thursday : We wake up and leave the moorings to sail among the waves and challenge ourselves with our boats. We will sail between the islands to reach Hvar, where we will choose a beautiful bay to enjoy the evening surrounded by nature. Night at the buoy.

• Friday : we set sail early to go upwind and get closer to Split… the spectacular sunset will await us and then we will continue at night to the port of destination.

• Saturday : the week is already over… next holiday, new itinerary and new adventure… it's off.

Memories, photos and smiles will remain in the heart!

Grande competenza e professionalita'; sa dare sicurezza all'equipaggio anche nelle situazioni difficili. Da lui si imparano un sacco di cose. ( ma se potrebbero imparare anche di piu' se non fosse un po' avaro di parole; ma è scusabile: lui parla col mare...)

Sailing Caribbean: Grenadines and Tobago Cays

A last minute decision to book on this trip, was one of the best decisions we have made! Gianluca answered all our pre-sail questions, adding additional helpful information. His and the Vivila Sailing Team’s welcome into their group was amazing - we felt involved from the outset. Our itinerary was well planned and thought out, making the most of our week at sea in the Caribbean - not only from a sailing point of view, but the catering and supplies were well organised too. Having sailed many years ago with my family, I found Gianluca to be a highly competent, professional, patient and attentive Captain who showed his passion and knowledge for sailing and the sea. This was an experience we shall never forget and I sincerely hope we get to sail with Gianluca and the Vivila Sailing Team again in the future ……

Just returned from the Caribbean after a week with Gianluca and the Vivila sailing team. I had the most wonderfull experience, its hard to put into words. Gianluca is a truly excellent captain and instructor, patient and considerate throughout, always happy to answer my 1000 and 1 questions on boats and sailing. The itinerary that Gianluca created was extraordinary, we visited places that you just can't get to unless you are on a boat, the Tobego Cays and the island of Mayreau we two of the highlights. It's important to note that unlike most of the experiences you will find on Sailsquare, Gianluca's trips arn't a commercial enterprise, rather, they are a chance for people outside of the Vivila sailing team to make up the numbers and cover the costs of chartering a boat. On this trip there were 16 people on 2 boats with 2 captains and crew from Italy, France, Germany and the UK. It's my dream to sail with Gianluca and the Vivila team again, hoping to visit Croatia this summer.
