This experience, in a nutshell

I welcome you aboard. The Bandol region is in my opinion the most suitable region to come and spend a holiday aboard a sailboat.

It offers bays bordered by beaches, a navigation basin suitable for different types of weather, less than a day from Marseille.

From Bandol to Marseille, the creeks offer us dream anchorages , climbing spots, hiking areas and many natural shelters to stay there in complete safety.

The route to the Calanques of Marseille and Cassis:
- We will leave the small fishing port of Brusc, in the direction of the beak of the eagle which is near La Ciotat. There is the Green Island which marks the beginning of a grandiose panorama, the cliffs of Cassis.

- Depending on the weather, we will decide to drop anchor facing the extremely well sheltered beaches, between Île Verte and Cap des Moulins, in the Baie de la Vierge.

- Then we will closely follow the cliffs of Cap Canaille which will take us to Cassis. Once through the bay, we will sail in the Calanques Natural Park.

- The calanque de Port-Miou, the calanque de Port-Pin, the calanque d'en Vau, the eguille de l'Eissadon, the calanque Saint-Jean de Dieu, the calanque de Sugiton, the calanque de Morgiou, the calanque de la Triperie, the calanque de Sormiou, the bec de Sormiou.

- We will decide on the spot depending on the weather, in which to drop anchor to sleep in the most beautiful anchorages of the French Riviera. Facing further west we will see the islands of Marseille in the wild.

- The island of Riou, the calanque de Monasterio, the island of Jarre, the island Calsereigne, or Plane, and the Île Maire which leads us to the harbor of Marseille and the Frioul archipelago.

- The castle of IF (count of Monté Christo) and if you wish a tour in the old port of Marseille.

- For the return we will visit the creeks and the islands in front of which we may have passed too quickly and we will get closer to Bandol and a charming cove, the cove of Port D'ALON, a swim in the bay of Moutte, An anchorage sheltered from the east winds at the end of the bay of Bandol, the bay of Gorguette.

- If we still have time, a stopover on the private Ricard islands, the island of Embiez. Elected 1st port of call on the French Riviera. We will return to the port of Brusc between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on the last day of the cruise.

We had a great cruise and were very well coached by Jean. They made us progress well in all the sailing maneuvers but also in the rules and good practices of life on board. Very beautiful anchorages, a magical setting in a very good atmosphere and good moments shared .. that make us want to continue these experiences! Thanks again Jean

We spent a great week of sailing under the direction of Jean who is an excellent pedagogue (we are neophytes!). He found us beautiful anchorages and made us enjoy his knowledge with a lot of patience. Always to your attention Jean is the best skipper that can be! Do not hesitate to embark with him!

Italy

It was the most exciting sailing holiday of my life. And I've done a lot in 13 years, I've also been to the Grenadines and the Seychelles. But this time a series of exceptional conditions have crossed: the overwhelmingly wild beauty of the Calanques, which look like Highlands thrown into the Mediterranean, a very particular boat, which I will never forget, a very experienced skipper, who knows every rock and the best landings of that itinerary (and does not show it to you, it makes you live), the fact that only I was sailing with him. Luckily I didn't hesitate to go even though there were no others on board. Luckily Jean made me leave on my own. Because seeing in two, and very often in silence, the rugged fjords, the rocky walls, the small islands, the fists of houses that appear at the bottom of the few inhabited Calanques, allowed me the maximum immersion in that nature so strong as to silence. The impact was profound. And Jean turned out to be an experienced, attentive, calm, competent guide, who every evening showed me the nautical charts and explained to me where we would go, who tried to show me how to live on board a sailboat and taught me to see how the perception of a natural site changes depending on the hours of the day, when you are not in a hurry to go here and there and you agree to stop in every place a whole day and a night. We have always been in the harbor: I have never taken so many baths in my life. On board then there are an outdoor armchair, cotton mats with a pillow to read or sunbathe comfortably and the dinette looks like a Provencal living room. In short, I could not visit the Calanques better than this. An experience that I will not easily forget.
