His passion for research led him to pursue an academic career and earn a PhD in Urban Planning and Spatial Planning, focusing on the development of new methods for the sustainable development of cities and territory.

In addition to his academic and research activities, Francesco has been cultivating his passion for sailing for some years now. He has spent years exploring the coasts of Basilicata and beyond, sailing the waves of the Ionian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea.
