My sailing activity began at the age of 8.... and as the old sailors say: "Once you are wet with sea water you don't dry anymore". This was also the case for me, from that moment, at the main Neapolitan sailing clubs and later at the naval league of Naples I attended numerous sailing courses on different boats, and participated in numerous regattas, refining more and more the techniques of sailing navigation. At the age of 18 I started collaborating as a sailing instructor on dinghies at the Lucanian sailing club improving teaching techniques mainly with children between the ages of 10 and 16. In 1996 I obtained a boat license both sailing and motor without limits from the coast and I started collaborating as a skipper on board offshore sailing boats owned by the Lucanian sailing club for school cruises in the Gulf of Taranto and Ionian Greece. Subsequently I collaborated with several charter companies in Italy and abroad (Sail Company, Napoli Charter, Vela Charter, Horizon Sail Charter, Arcadie Plaisire) with the duties of skipper, base manager, customer reception, ordinary and extraordinary maintenance manager of boats. In 2000 I obtained the title of captain of pleasure boats used for rent and in 2011 I was hired as a skipper by a nautical school in St. Petersburg (Russia) to participate in the ARC, a regatta in which hundreds of boats participate, which involves crossing the Atlantic Ocean starting from the Canary Islands. During this experience I participated in numerous seminars on safety at sea, emergency management, survival in prohibitive conditions. Once I arrived in St. Lucia (Caribbean), I was embarked for about 3 months as a skipper on several sailing boats and also catamarans. In May 2012 I was embarked as second for the Atlantic crossing from Bermuda to Naples, passing through the Azores.
