Alassio station is located on the Genoa-Ventimiglia railway line; regional trains and long-distance connections operated by Trenitalia are available; the approximate times are about 1-1.5 hours from Genoa, 2.5-3.5 hours from Milan with possible changes in Genoa, 2.5-3 hours from Turin and 1.5-2 hours from Nice/Ventimiglia with changes in Ventimiglia or cross-border regional trains; From the station you can reach the main points of the city on foot or with short routes.

The most practical airports for Alassio are Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport (GOA), in the northeast, and Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (NCE), in the west across the French border; from the Genoa terminal you can continue by taxi, car rental or shuttle bus to the railway stations to take trains to Alassio; from Nice there are road connections along the A10 and regional trains via Ventimiglia; transfer times vary depending on the chosen vehicle and traffic, with approximate driving times of just over an hour from Genoa and around an hour and a half from Nice.

The skipper - and any crew members, if applicable - sleep in one of the boat's cabins.

The double cabin is assigned to those traveling as a couple, those who book individually sleep in the direct in separate single beds.

The skipper and hostess lend a hand. But the preparation of meals is an activity shared by all participants in the experience.

Travelling light is recommended: especially in summer, when you will almost exclusively be wearing swimwear, T-shirts, and shorts on the boat during the day. A sweatshirt and long pants for the evening may be sufficient in the height of summer, while something warmer is preferable in the cooler months, as well as a waterproof windbreaker in case of bad weather or when sailing. Sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun, flip-flops/sandals for going ashore; if you want to wear shoes on board - especially useful when sailing - they must have white soles and be used only on the boat. It may also be useful to bring a small waterproof container for your wallet/cell phone to use when going ashore. For bed linen and towels, please refer to the “What's included” section.

Hair dryers, hair straighteners, and other appliances that operate on 220V (household voltage) can only be used during stops in ports, when a power outlet is available for connection to the electrical grid.

A soft bag is required for transporting luggage, so that it can be easily stowed away. Hard suitcases and trolleys should be avoided, as they are difficult, if not impossible, to stow. A small backpack or beach bag may be useful for shore excursions.
