This experience, in a nutshell

The week in the Aeolian Islands begins in the charming town of Portorosa (Furnari-Messina) .
The marina, within a tourist village, is located in a strategic position, and is easily accessible by car, along the A20 motorway, but also from Catania airport (there is a convenient shuttle bus service) and Palermo. . Geographically, it is one of the closest locations to the Aeolian Islands so in about three hours of navigation you can reach the archipelago.

A week on a sailboat equipped with every comfort, six islands in seven days , full of relaxation, sea but also possible excursions in the interior (visit of the crater of Stromboli and Fossa delle Felci in Salina). Nights at anchor to enjoy the stars but also the Aeolian nightlife.

The over thirty years of experience and the sympathy of a skipper / musician will accompany you on this wonderful journey. PROGRAM:

SATURDAY
Check-in on Saturday generally takes place between 15/16. Once the galley has been purchased (possible market in the same village) and the crew members have boarded, we set off to reach the southern edge of the island of Vulcano (Location Gelso). Refreshing swim and then transfer for the evening to the bay or to the western port of the same island. From here it is possible to make a night visit to the town.

SUNDAY
Bow towards Panarea . The island that needs no introduction, is surrounded by a small archipelago of islets where you can pleasantly spend the whole day. In the evening you cannot miss the exploration of the small village, famous for its intense nightlife. Unforgettable night moored in the peaceful Milazzese bay.

Monday
Monday is the turn of the island of Stromboli where the more daring can make the ascent to the crater (excursion that requires an authorized guide to be booked) or, the more romantic, watch the breathtaking sunset from a terrace of the tiny hamlet of Ginostra .

Tuesday
In the morning we set off, bow on Salina with an intermediate stop for swimming north of Panarea (the island is on the route to Salina halfway through). Salina is defined as the green island and, for trekking enthusiasts, after a climb of medium difficulty, through unexpected woods (lasting about 3 hours), you reach " Fossa delle Felci " the highest peak of the entire archipelago (968m. ). From here you can enjoy the 360 ° view of the entire archipelago. Unforgettable panorama! The more enjoyable ones can instead be distracted with the famous Alfredo granitas or with the "pane cunzato", in the locality of Lingua , otherwise visit one of the numerous local wineries producing excellent wines including the famous Malvasia.

Wednesday
Before leaving Salina, stop for a swim in the famous bay of Pollara , (one of the sets where they shot the film “Il Postino”) then head to Filicudi to spend the night in the tiny port of Pecorini a Mare .

Thursday
After an excursion in a tender inside the cave of the "Bue Marino" and a passage next to the " Canna " (places on the island that should not be deserted) we go to Lipari , the largest island of the archipelago. Before reaching the port to visit the town, you can admire the west coast of the island and in particular “ Valle Muria ”, wonderful for the colors of the coves, the Faraglioni and the mouths of Vulcano (necessary bathing stops).

Friday
it is the day of the return but, before heading to PortoRosa, we will circumnavigate the west coast of the island of Vulcano to visit the “ Grotta del Cavallo ” and other bays entirely made up of lava.

SATURDAY
Check out day between 9/10.

The program described may be subject to variations due to weather conditions.

The sailing trip with Nicola was an experience that enriched me a lot, unique emotions and sensations. The navigation, the wind, the sun and the sea created a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. I recommend everyone to try this experience at least once in their life: it is an opportunity to discover the beauty of the sea, the Aeolian Islands and the feeling of freedom. Thanks to all the crew, who made all this possible.

Nicola is an excellent connoisseur of the Aeolian Islands. With his experience, he always puts the safety of the crew first, adapting the tour of the islands to the weather conditions. The experience was truly complete, alternating navigation with land visits where Nicola always advised on the various possibilities. The boat is a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42.2 feet (12.8m) from the late 90s, kept tidy with various updates and options such as electric toilets. With full crew, 8 people, it suffers a little from confined spaces but all in the canons of a sailing holiday. The descriptive sheet of the boat faithfully reflects reality. Excellent experience of having sailed with the use of the Geannaker, a sail that also takes advantage of light winds, a nice surprise not being commonly used on charter boats, thank you!

I had an unforgettable sailing holiday thanks to our skipper! Always professional, helpful and attentive to everyone's needs, he made us feel safe at all times. He was able to combine competence and sympathy, making navigation relaxing and pleasant. He took us to wonderful bays, told us curiosities and made us experience the sea in an authentic way. The Aeolian Islands are a beautiful experience that I recommend to anyone who wants to discover sailing with the guidance of a reliable and passionate skipper. Thank you Nicola!!

Top experience! Nicola, the skipper, is nice and super reliable, he took us to magnificent places, he was understanding to put up with us all, always available even with the kitchen, but never intrusive, and proposed an itinerary based on the weather that allowed us to see 6 islands, and allowing those who wanted to disembark on land and take turns in the village, or stay on the boat for those who, like me, prefer to enjoy the beauty of the roadstead. Very beautiful and spacious boat, as much as a sailboat can be, equipped with many small modernity and comforts. Even the group that was created with the other participants was beautiful and cohesive, leaving everyone their own freedoms. The journey to reach the Aeolian Islands and to return, starting from Livorno, was not the easiest and most direct, but it was really worth it, so don't be discouraged but leave and choose Nicola, a man of the sea and experience, and you will feel "safe". What to add if not one I hope "see you soon!" Thank you Nicola and your [hidden]!
