This experience, in a nutshell

We have 16 years of experience in organising sailing holidays in Greece and Caribbean, having thousands of happy customers on board our boats from all over the world. Last year we were appreciated by the Guardian in 10 best sailing holidays in Europe.

The ultimate route in Saronic is a mix of sailing, swimming/relaxing in beautiful bays and sightseeing unbelievable must-visit ancient landmarks.

On the way  UNESCO heritage the best preserved ancient theater in the world); dinner in our favorite family-run Taverna where the tables are situated under the Orange trees - absolutely stunning (you can eat one growing directly above your head). In the Bay outside Epidavros we anchor next to sunken city - snorkeling from the boat over ancient town below the water on depth of 1.5-2m; next stunning Temple of Aphaia one of the ancient architectural wonders, built on the hill  (also known as "pistachio island") - beautiful and unique. (possible trip to family-run pistachio plantation, where you can see how the pistachio grow and find out why there is only one male for 100 woman :) In the evening we go for dinner with live music on a typical greek instrument bouzouki - learning Zorba dance is a plan for the night! :)

TYPICAL DAY

Wake up, eat breakfast, have some coffee in the village or a little walk to stretch the legs before we sail away. We tend to sail for a few hours each day before we reach a beautiful bay with a desert beach. Then we have time for snorkelling, swimming, sunbathing, exploring bay/island, reading books etc. Chef will prepare lunch (greek salad seems perfect for the hot day), have some down time, maybe even a little siesta before we sail away. Spend the afternoon sailing and for those that wish, chance to learn how to steer, pull a rope, tie a knot or for others it can be a time to relax and sunbathe on deck. Before the evening comes, we will reach a new island, moor in a lovely small village and explore the new place (they say sunset in Hydra is even better than in Santorini!) As a rule of thumb, in the evening we go to a traditional Taverna to try some awesome local food as well as the delicious greek wine, dance Zorba, listen to live music and relax! No hurry, that is our main theme. :)

WINERY

Last year we introduced a new attraction that was very much enjoyed by our guests - a trip to the small, local vineyard with international wine awards and the vines growing in volcanic soil. It is a very special family run place (NOT a tourist trap), we are the only tourists visiting this place. Father is a very funny guy who makes the tour and tells all about the wine making in the family (they even put some of the bottles at the bottom of the sea to give the special flavour) and Mamma (who doesn't speak english) cooks local dinner from ingredients coming from her garden. During wine tasting (which is more like wine drinking) every bottle (usually around 7-8, white, rose and red) comes with a different meal that is well selected to this type of wine. After this amazing feast our hosts (if they are in the mood) show us the traditional Greek dance and songs. it is unforgettable night! All food is homemade (also feta!) and absolutely the best and the experience is as Greek as you can get.

Our itinerary

Hydra, jewel of the Saronic - an island with no car traffic - all the transportation is done only by donkeys; the sunset in Hydra is told to be even more beautiful than in Santorini. No wonder why this island is a place for summer houses for many film stars and singers. At the top after Long hike you can visit monks in a monastery. The architecture is absolutely amazing and one of a kind - maze of streets was built that way to protect from Pirate attacks. Getting Lost there is a very nice experience;

Perdika - a small fishing village where you can find the nicest people in the world (or go fishing with a local fisherman!); the family that runs our favorite Taverna, after many years became our close friends, almost like family members. Kalotina and Notis will make sure that you will get the best service and be treated with care. Mamma is making absolutely the best moussaka in the whole of Greece! The tzatziki with homemade yogurt is a life changer :)

Next our secret harbour (with one family-run taverna and no shop) that can fit only 7 boats. Very local place which is known only by those who have sailed there for many years. From there we can make a trip to a nice local winery and try some famous Peloponnese wine!

Also a healing bath in volcanic waters is recommended!

Poros - an Island with unforgettable views and the best grilled dorada we ever ate (and we travel a lot!). After supper at Michalis we go for a nice walk / hike up the hill to reach a small typical chapel from which you have one of the best views in Saronic! A short breathing meditation at the top will be a perfect ending of the adventurous day. On the way down to the boat, an Ice cream place - the pistachio flavour from local nuts will make you come back for it the next day! :)

Big and luxurious 60ft catamaran in Saronic - best local experience

If you need a sign to take the most relaxing and thoughtful sailing vacation you’ve ever dreamed of, this is it! You must have Greg and Aga take you sailing around the Mediterranean! In between sailing and enjoying incredible meals prepared by Aga, there is plenty of time for naps in the sun, snorkeling, paddleboarding, board games, cliff jumping, wine tasting, reading, and relaxing. Greg even went above and beyond to accommodate my husband’s kiteboarding from the boat. If you have special requests or needs, they are eager to tailor your vacation to you! You can be as involved in the sailing as you wish. Aga’s meals deserve another shout-out! We were so happy with the healthy and exquisite vegetarian meals, and I was always excited to see what she would create next. She is very creative and takes great care in sourcing local products from the villages, vineyards, and farmers she connects with on her travels. Greg and Aga have spent years sailing around the Greek islands and have found special, off-the-beaten-path harbors, villages, and taverns. They have fostered relationships with locals on each island, and as a guest, you get to enjoy the fruits of their efforts. We spent an evening with a local family at their winery and enjoyed a beautifully prepared meal with wine pairings. Each night at the tavernas, Aga’s recommendations were incredible. Sometimes the seafood was so fresh that they cleaned the fish right after you ordered it! The Zorba Cat catamaran is spacious, beautiful, and incredibly comfortable. Each cabin had its own bathroom! Even with multiple parties on our trip,
