From the mainland you can reach the ports of embarkation for Sardinia by car: the main ports on the Tyrrhenian coast are Civitavecchia, Livorno and Genoa; ferries depart from these and, in season, fast services to Olbia or Golfo Aranci. The journey by car ends at the port of disembarkation: the main terminal in Olbia is Isola Bianca, while many connections dock in Golfo Aranci, about 10-15 km north of Olbia (traffic and local times vary). After disembarking, it is possible to continue by car towards the center of Olbia and the internal roads of the island; Directions and port parking allow transfer to embarkation and disembarkation points.

✈️ By plane
Olbia has the Costa Smeralda airport (OLB), located a few kilometers from the city center; The airport-city centre transfer takes approximately 10-20 minutes by taxi, shuttle or rental car. There are direct domestic connections, in particular with Rome and Milan (flight time about 1 hour), and seasonal/international services from European hubs; Operating companies vary by season. Transfers to the port of Olbia and Golfo Aranci are also available from the airport, used to continue by sea when necessary.

⛴️ By ferry/hydrofoil
Ferries to Olbia and Golfo Aranci depart from Civitavecchia, Livorno and Genoa, with operators such as Moby, Tirrenia, Grandi Navi Veloci and Grimaldi; the durations vary: Civitavecchia-Olbia about 5-7 hours, Livorno-Olbia 6-8 hours and Genoa-Olbia 10-12 hours depending on the service; In high season, fast rides and hydrofoils are available that reduce time. The landing place can be the White Island in Olbia or the port of Golfo Aranci; from the latter there are road connections of about 15-25 minutes to reach the center of Olbia.

The skipper – and any crew members, if applicable – sleeps in a dedicated cabin, separate from those reserved for guests, which is not included in the count of guest cabins shown on the boat listing.

Double cabins are usually assigned to those traveling as a couple, while those booking individually share a cabin with another traveler of the same gender. Spots are assigned in order of booking, except in special cases.

Travelling light is recommended: especially in summer, when you will almost exclusively be wearing swimwear, T-shirts, and shorts on the boat during the day. A sweatshirt and long pants for the evening may be sufficient in the height of summer, while something warmer is preferable in the cooler months, as well as a waterproof windbreaker in case of bad weather or when sailing. Sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun, flip-flops/sandals for going ashore; if you want to wear shoes on board - especially useful when sailing - they must have white soles and be used only on the boat. It may also be useful to bring a small waterproof container for your wallet/cell phone to use when going ashore. For bed linen and towels, please refer to the “What's included” section.

A soft bag is required for transporting luggage, so that it can be easily stowed away. Hard suitcases and trolleys should be avoided, as they are difficult, if not impossible, to stow. A small backpack or beach bag may be useful for shore excursions.

The boat is equipped with both 12V sockets (with USB and/or cigarette lighter connectors) that can normally be used at any time, and 220V sockets that can only be used when docked in ports, once connected to the charging stations on the quay.

Usually, we moor in a bay at night, with the possibility of going ashore using the dinghy. However, we will stop in port, as planned in the itinerary, to refill our water and/or provisions, as well as to enjoy a pleasant evening ashore.

If you reserve the entire boat for yourself, the detailed itinerary can be agreed upon with the skipper. Otherwise, changes can be agreed upon as long as all participants on board agree.
