This experience, in a nutshell

For those with little or no experience, an open door to the magical world of sailing.

Following this course, the student acquires the sense of the wind and the basic notions for driving a sailing cabin cruiser in the various roles.

The course is located in Sanremo Portosole, a modern and welcoming private marina. It is coordinated and held by FIV offshore sailing instructors from the oldest federal nautical training center in Italy.

A way to start living the sailboat for offshore navigation with conscience and competence, the first step for those who have as their goal a future navigation independently, abandoning the role of "transported".

It takes place over three consecutive days and the courses are repeated throughout the year.

Sailing instruction and stay in the city of flowers transform a sporting and educational activity into a real holiday aboard comfortable 12-meter cabin cruisers. The city of Sanremo, with its tourist vocation and its particular climate, also offers many opportunities for recreation outside the sailing instruction activity.

NB: The skipper, as well as instructor, on board will be me or one of my collaborators. You will be provided with all the details before boarding.

Beautiful cruise for lovers of sailing and sports life. thanks to a favorable wind and Manuel, a wise skipper with a high human and professional profile. We started as complete strangers and came back with the feeling of being a team.

An authentic sailing trip! The route ranges from the vineyards of Porquerolles, to the most refined and legendary corners of the Côte d'Azur, up to small ports where you can get off to stock up on local delicacies. Skipper Manuel doesn't just take the boat: he transmits his passion for the sea and for a landscape he has known for a lifetime. When the wind starts to blow, the sails are hoisted and the boat comes to life: the crew helps in maneuvers, having fun and always learning something new.

With Laura, Enrico, Maura and Valentina.La explanation that the stop in Villefranche would have been made to help me and my mother is false: our flight was scheduled four days later. There has been a serious lack of attention to the safety of the crew, contrary to what is being made to believe. The most serious problem was the transfer from Plage du Grand Jardin to Villefranche-sur-Mer: about 75 miles covered in 12 hours under intense sunshine, with very few opportunities for swimming and, above all, no drinking water available from the previous evening. Most of the crew members were between 60 and 70 years old. Exposing people to these conditions for so many hours is a matter of safety, not simply a matter of unmet expectations. It is easy to continue to attribute everything to the wind and the sea conditions, which, contrary to what they try to present, were instead excellent. There were also concerns about the skipper's professionalism, particularly alcohol consumption and the fact that he smoked a significant number of cigarettes belonging to other crew members while they slept, without asking their permission.
