This experience, in a nutshell

Join the second section of a long unforgettable journey from Monfalcone to Tel Aviv, round trip.

DATE LIMITE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS: 10 JULY 2018

NB: The fifth available seat is in the dinette

Between the year 1098 and 1202, Venice undertook four crusades.
Then, in 1571, the Republic of Venice participated in the most celebrated of the naval battles: the Battle of Lepanto.
We will retrace those routes with peaceful motivations and the passionate spirit of adventure-hungry navigators.
This is a journey .. we will adapt to the weather and we will do what the weather will suggest.

We will leave from the lagoon of Venice to skirt the Croatian coast, exploring cities like Split and Ragusa, Durres in Albania, passing through Crete and Cyprus and then arriving in Israel, near the city of Tel Aviv.
From there you will enter the country to visit Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, the lake of Tiberias and many other places sacred to the three monotheistic religions.
For the return route we will go to Turkey, mooring in the ancient town of Antalya, then Bodrum, Smyrna and again Crete, and finally the last stage that will take us back home.

It is possible to book all the way, all the way back, or individual routes.

First route: Monfalcone - Dubrovnik - from 10 to 20 August
Third route: Crete - Tel Aviv - from 30 August to 8 September
Fourth route: Tel Aviv - Izmir - from 18 to 28 September
Fifth route: Smyrna - Crete - from September 28th to October 7th
Sixth route: Crete - Monfalcone - from 7 to 18 October

NB. Each route is considered subject to changes of a couple of days on the date of departure and arrival based on the weather conditions and scheduled stops.

I recommend being in good health and self-sufficient.
The crew will be an active part of the journey. It will contribute in first person to the navigation in all its aspects.

Con Fabrizio ho terminato la lunga tratta della via del Leone partecipando alla settimana da Dubrovnik a Monfalcone. È stata un'esperienza entusiasmante, la barca è bellissima e preparata molto accuratamente sia per una crociera comoda che per le navigazioni impegnative e questo denota il grande amore che Fabrizio ha per lei oltre ad un'ottima esperienza e preparazione per lunghe navigazioni. Saper trasmettere tutto questo e coinvolgere l'equipaggio con equilibrio ed empatia non è da tutti, complimenti, tornerò volentieri in futuro!

Con questa crociera ho attraversato 3 mari Egeo,Ionio e Adriatico a bordo di un magnifico Grand Soleil 45 ben tenuto e allestito in maniera da rasentare la perfezione.Un Cutter con 8 winch nel pozzetto che rendevano rapide e precise le manovre. Non ho mai navigato su una barca cosi ben tenuta, allestita con tanta cura e condotta in modo impeccabile da Fabrizio, lo skipper. A rendere piacevole la crociera anche gli equipaggi che si sono succeduti nelle 2 settimane, Matteo e Dino, 2 velisti del Lago Maggiore, che si sono rivelati perfetti nell'affrontare le 12 ore di Meltemi che ci ha accompagnato dall'isola di Tino (Cicladi) ad Atene la prima settimana. Nilla e Roberto una coppia di coetanei, avventurosi e colti, con i quali ho condiviso la scoperta di luoghi pieni di fascino che abbiamo incontrato nelle tratta da Corfu - Dubrovnik. Veramente una bella crociera

The Way of the Lion - From Thessaloniki to Greece to Istanbul, Turkey

Agosto 2019 Thessaloniki-Istanbul Fabrizio ci ha accolti a bordo con un grande sorriso. La meta, Istanbul, è lontana: due settimane di navigazione su un mare tutt'altro che facile. Tuttavia la competenza e la scrupolosità di Fabrizio ci ha sempre fatto sentire in totale sicurezza. La barca è splendida ed era già pronta per il Meltemi (con tormentina armata ) ma quando il vento è troppo (50 nodi in banchina ) non si rischia, si resta in porto, a costo di dover rinunciare agli ancoraggi da bagnetto. L'Egeo in agosto non è per croceristi vacanzieri, è per avventurosi, ma responsabili, naviganti. Certamente sarei più che pronta ad imbarcarmi di nuovo con Fabrizio, anzi, ci sarei rimasta più che volentieri per il ritorno (finalmente con vento a favore), ma le ferie finiscono, speriamo l'anno prossimo!
