This experience, in a nutshell
Boarding scheduled for the afternoon; Accommodation on board, general briefing on the boat and the itinerary of the following days, galley and accommodation.
Training program for those who want to deepen their skills in navigation and management of pleasure boats. This type of course is aimed at both beginners and more experienced sailors.
The course will be paced at the best pace to make the most of your time on board by integrating theory with practice. There will be stops in the most beautiful villages and islands of the Côte d'Azur, and at times you will sail more or less depending on the weather and sea conditions, preparation of the crew, distances to be covered, time available, landings, buoys, ports, safety, etc. All these fundamental factors will be best analyzed during the duration of the course.

1. Theoretical Navigation
◦ Use of Navigation Instruments: Use of traditional instruments (compass, binoculars) and modern instruments (GPS, AIS).
◦ Route Calculation and Navigation Planning: Methods for plotting safe and efficient routes.
2. Practical Navigation
◦ Anchoring and Mooring Techniques: In-depth study of techniques for anchoring and mooring in different conditions.
◦ Sail Management and Adjustment: Adaptation of the sails to various gaits and marine weather conditions.
◦ Night Navigation: Management of guard shifts and specific techniques for night navigation.
◦ Logbook: How to keep an accurate record of activities and events on board.
3. Meteorology
◦ Marine Weather Forecast: How to read and interpret marine weather forecasts.
◦ Navigation Adaptation: Techniques for modifying the course and navigation plans according to weather conditions.
4. Safety on board
◦ Use of Safety Equipment: Proper use of life jackets, flares, and other equipment.
5. Life on board
◦ Organization of Daily Life on the Boat: Planning of Daily Activities.
6. Maintenance and Management of the Boat
◦ Knowledge of the Main On-Board Systems: Operation and maintenance of the engine, electrical and hydraulic system.
Objectives of the Course
• Provide a Complete and In-Depth Knowledge of Navigation: Deepen the theoretical and practical notions of navigation.
• Develop Practical Skills: Gain practical skills for the safe and efficient handling of a vessel.
• Prepare Participants to Deal with Different Situations at Sea: Be prepared to handle normal and emergency conditions while sailing.
