This experience, in a nutshell

Corfu, the south-east coast, Paxos, Antipaxos, Syvota, as well as the small islands to the north-west, Erikoussa, Othonoi, Mathraki: we will have the opportunity to discover the most beautiful places, deciding the route depending on the weather conditions and the crew's experience. The west coast of Corfu is picturesque but exposed to the prevailing winds, and we will be able to explore it with an easterly wind and shallow seas.
We will sail, as far as possible, favouring stops in the bay rather than in ports, to enjoy the sea, nature and cuisine on board. However, there will be no shortage of stops ashore, with visits to the enchanting villages of the Greek islands and their taverns filled with the culinary delights of Ulysses' heirs.
We will share the tasks of navigation and cooking, respecting our fellow travellers and above all the places we visit while taking care to minimise our impact on nature and the marine ecosystem around us.

Arrival in Corfu

The starting point will be the headquarters of the Corfu Sailing Club - Marina di Mandraki, inside the old Venetian fortress, built in the promontory that divides the Gulf of Kerkyra and the bay of Garitsa. On the first evening, once we have done our homework for the galley and had an aperitif on board, we can spend the evening in the old town and have dinner in a typical Greek tavern.

Leg 2

Corfu - Sivota

From Corfu, early in the morning, skirting the east coast of the island, we will reach Sivota in the evening, site of the naval battle between Corinth and Corfu in 433 B.C., the country is full of bars and taverns.

Leg 3

Let's discover the islands of Sivota

We will spend a day discovering the beautiful bays and beaches of the islands of Sivota, we will spend the night in the bay.

Leg 4

Route to Paxos

With the mistral wind we will reach Paxos to discover its emerald bays and charming villages.

Leg 5

Paxos-Antipaxos

Continuing south of Paxos for a first stop in the evening we reach Antipaxos, the smaller but equally beautiful of the two islands that legend has it created by Poseidon with a blow of his trident,

Leg 6

From Paxos route north

From Antipaxos we will have to start going up to reach Corfu, we will stop in the evening in the picturesque and typical fishing village on the east coast of Corfu: Petriti.

Leg 7

Petriti-Corfu

We will head north again with a stop for lunch and in the afternoon on the island of Vido, close to our port of arrival where we will moor in the evening.

I was so excited to go sailing in Greece. This dream unfortunately took a quick turn into a nightmare. The captain didn’t take us to any of the sites listed on the itinerary. We stayed close to the original port the whole trip. We would ask him each day to go to one of the listed places and he would just ignore the suggestions. He would also blame it each day on the weather yet we had beautiful weather the whole trip, minus the first day. The boat itself was constantly breaking down. We had a broke toilet which was not a plus. But the worst part of the trip was when the captain used the outside shower in front of myself and a few of the other girls on the boat. He proceeded to take his swim shorts off deliberately flashing his private parts to us. All the lady’s became super uncomfortable on the boat afterwards. It was super inappropriate. Would highly recommended spending your money elsewhere. Was a horrific experience.

The holiday did not go as I hoped and the main sore point is given by the skipper. It felt more like being in prison than on vacation. Rino did nothing but list prohibitions, he had a know-it-all and always annoyed tone. He had the constant habit of walking around the boat early in the morning, banging his feet forcefully near the cabins and managed the doors of the cabins as he pleased, opening and closing them even while we were inside. What is even more serious, in my opinion he disrespected us on at least two occasions by taking off his swimsuit in front of everyone to shower naked without even notifying us. A really unprofessional behavior. As for the itinerary, unfortunately it was not respected despite the weather conditions were favorable. Apart from the first day when we witnessed a storm, in all the following days not a leaf flew. If there had been the skipper's will, we could have easily arrived in Paxos (which we did not see). We have returned several times to the same places despite countless requests to see something new. We sailed a maximum of two hours a day, we practically paid for his vacation since for the rest of the time he was lying in the shade reading! Finally, I found the location of the marina inconvenient (although suggestive inside the fortress) as you have to walk at least twenty minutes on foot between stairs and climbs to reach the supermarket. I would suggest a more accessible marina considering that when you do a week's shopping for 6 people you don't go back to the boat with a few envelopes.

To make this review I hook up to Sara's review and the answer she was given: it makes me strange that a platform like yours allows itself to respond in this way. What does what happened to you 2 weeks ago have to do with the week we had? What is the connection? I've been on boat holidays for 6 years and for another two I kept my own boat, I faced STORMS in the middle of the sea (complete with a hood for 4 hours) and I can assure you that what happened to us was simply a summer storm, very common in almost all islands. The holiday was presented with 6 different islands to see and we barely saw one, taking us further by the bottoms, making us go around the fool where it could be done simply on foot. Not to mention the morning that he stamped his feet on the boat on purpose to make us wake up, like when we changed our swimsuit in front of everyone without a shred of privacy, without giving any explanation of the place and what we were seeing and where we were staying. We were the ones who told him where we wanted to go and if he could take us there, when he has to be the first skipper to take us to nice and different places than usual. The beauty of the boat is that in addition to enjoying the coves at sea there is also a view from land, places and places to discover .... And this did not happen. I would have avoided doing this review but after reading nonsensical answers it seems absolutely necessary to me. I have greatly underestimated you. I'm really sorry for sailsquare. Rino can face a crew Of his age because with young people he is not able to manage anything. Not to mention that there was no possibility to charge anything electrical (we had to do in rotation to charge a bit of battery on the phone) which I repeat after 6 years of experiences on a boat this for me is a caveman thing or the fridge or the telephone but where are we in the 600?! Do me the favor. And there would be other things to say but I avoid . Avoid arguing because I know that I want to take a boat holiday and it is not this is above all I know what it means to have a skipper who cares and likes what he does and it is not the case of Rino I am sorry.
