Driving along the A1 motorway (Milan-Florence-Rome-Naples) you can access the city from the north; from Rome the distance is about 225 km with average travel times around 2 h 30-3 h, from Florence about 470 km in about 4 h, from Milan about 790 km in 6-7 h; coming from southern Campania and the Ionian coast, the A3/A30 is used with entry onto the Naples ring road (A56) to distribute traffic towards the different districts and accesses to the center and the port; the main reference points for entering the city are the exits towards Naples center and the Central Station, where there are rest areas and exchange points with public transport.

Reference station: Napoli Centrale (Piazza Garibaldi), terminus of the high-speed and regional lines; Frecciarossa, Frecciabianca and Italo trains connect Naples to Rome in about 1 h 10-1 h 20, to Florence in about 2 h 30-3 h and to Milan in 4-4 h 30; regional relations connect the centers of Campania and the coastal stations; the Circumvesuviana network serves the Naples Porta Nolana/Garibaldi station with connections to Sorrento, Pompeii and Herculaneum and allows intermodality with the metro and buses to the port and the historic center.

Naples-Capodichino Airport (NAP), located 6-8 km north-east of the city center; approximate transfer time 15-30 minutes by taxi, 20-40 minutes by Alibus shuttle or bus depending on traffic; direct flights from numerous European airports operated by companies such as ITA Airways, Ryanair and easyJet, national and international connections with possible stopovers on main hubs; car rental services, taxis and bus connections to the Central Station and the port are available at the terminal.

The skipper - and any crew members, if applicable - sleep in one of the boat's cabins.

Assignment is made on a first-come-first-serve order basis. The first 4 booked will be assigned 4 berths in the two aft double cabins. For subsequent bookings, beds will be assigned in cabins with bunk beds.

Usually after making the first briefing and placing the luggage in the cabins, the crew goes ashore to buy the galley in one of the supermarkets near the pier. All markets offer an on-board delivery service. PLEASE NOTE: when organizing the galley, it must be borne in mind that the skipper does not participate in the purchase of the galley, but at the same time must be guaranteed three meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). If the crew has the pleasure of having the skipper out for dinner, it is a good rule (not an obligation) to offer dinner to the skipper.

The atmosphere that reigns on the boat is serene and informal and all people will be involved in the activities on board (such as cooking, keeping the boat tidy,..), in order to preserve the spirit of sharing that characterizes this type of holiday. These activities, which are boring at home, will instead be experienced as pleasant moments of conviviality.

Travelling light is recommended: especially in summer, when you will almost exclusively be wearing swimwear, T-shirts, and shorts on the boat during the day. A sweatshirt and long pants for the evening may be sufficient in the height of summer, while something warmer is preferable in the cooler months, as well as a waterproof windbreaker in case of bad weather or when sailing. Sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun, flip-flops/sandals for going ashore; if you want to wear shoes on board - especially useful when sailing - they must have white soles and be used only on the boat. It may also be useful to bring a small waterproof container for your wallet/cell phone to use when going ashore. For bed linen and towels, please refer to the “What's included” section.

Luggage does not have to be a trolley, they are forbidden on board: they take up a lot of space and if they crash they can ruin the boat or hurt you. Choose a packable backpack or duffel bag, such as the one for the gym. Spaces in the cabin are limited and you will not be able to leave your belongings lying around, both because there are other people, but also because everything could fall and roll around while sailing.

The proposed itinerary is designed to optimize travel and better enjoy the beauty that the destination offers. It is therefore not normally modifiable. Weather conditions permitting, we will do everything possible to respect all the scheduled stages. The itinerary of a sailing experience is always subject to the weather and the safety of the participants. Small variations may be necessary in the event of bad weather days.
