This experience, in a nutshell

We embark on Wednesday evening in Punta Ala, where we will welcome you on board for the assignment of cabins and a short briefing on equipment and life on board. Once settled, you can choose whether to prepare something to eat on the boat or take advantage of the atmosphere of the port for dinner in one of the restaurants in the area.

The next morning we set sail in the direction of the Island of Elba. After a pleasant navigation, we'll drop anchor in one of its beautiful bays: the first swim in crystal clear water and sun will be the perfect way to get into the rhythm of your holiday. After lunch and a moment of relaxation on board, we will resume sailing towards a second bay, ideal for another dip and to decide calmly where to spend the evening on land, among the characteristic villages of the island.

In the following days we will explore the coasts of Elba slowly and freely, alternating navigation, stops in protected bays, swimming and time to discover the local villages, their rhythms and their authentic atmospheres.

The return to Punta Ala is scheduled for the afternoon of the last day, with disembarkation and final farewells after a week spent between sea, wind and new discoveries.

The experience did not live up to expectations. Some basic equipment (a bathroom, tender and SUP) were not available for the entire holiday, creating several inconveniences. Cleaning and meals were also handled in a very basic and repetitive way. The management of the return was particularly problematic: we were told that it was not possible to sail, but the conditions were good and we were forced to return by land, with children and a lot of luggage, at our expense. I believe that there is room for greater professionalism and transparency: the holiday could have been much more pleasant with clearer communication and better organization.

Skipper and hostess service disappointing from all points of view: boat safety management in adverse weather conditions and not, galley and kitchen management, itinerary planning, and above all berths, lack of availability and listening to guests, discrepancy between what is the promotion of the stay and what is really offered (excellent cuisine, hostess service, three cabins and three bathrooms, etc.). Vacation saved thanks to beautiful friendship with other guests

Sorry to have to confirm the negative reviews of Samantha and Lorenza. Girls (met on a boat), tough, nice and without the stench under their noses, with other experiences of sailing holidays and spartan trips. The third "girl" is my wife Marie and she is also equally unhappy. Surely the bad weather has negatively influenced the judgment of all of us, but those who go to sea know that with a good galley, good management of the landings and ... of good wine everything is compensated. Unfortunately none of this! If we then add the 3 bathrooms out of order, the punctured tender (...) and no info on safety management, things get complicated and the tension increases. The cost for the galley (NOT agreed) was disproportionate to the quality and quantity offered. It is true that if you find the shopping already done by skipper and hostess, avoid a good fuss ... but how sad !! Furthermore, If you also pay for a Hostess, you expect something more... When they offer you a tour of Elba, it is normal that some port has been booked where you can spend a nice evening on land, have a pleasant breakfast and ... to defuse tensions. Even more so if the weather is bad. Then if due to weather conditions or the crew's desire the program changes, it is canceled and peace. What is certain is that in Elba, you cannot book the day before (but not even a week before) in the middle of August with adverse weather. So in the harbor of Porto Ferraio we caught the storm of wind and rain on August 20th. Crazy gusts and another boat came at us. Most of all, the condition of panic that was generated in part of the crew in seeing how the emergency was handled by the skipper and hostess was bad. The situation was particular but I have seen worse. We were at anchor, without a wave. If only we had had fenders and some more preventive info, everything would have been resolved in a more peaceful way. Finally, I found it strange that we were asked to pay the port for the night after disembarkation, that is the 7^ night, when the holiday was 5 days and 6 nights. Well ! John and Marie

I felt like an unwanted guest; advertised boat with three bathrooms and three cabins while instead the cabins available for guests are 2 and the actual bathrooms only 1 because the other two are former closets in which a toilet and a sink to be extracted like a drawer have been installed; moreover, both 'toilets' not working from day one; We then used the only bathroom in 6, except for the last day when it too no longer worked. For the galley, made by the skipper and his partner, the indications received were not taken into account (I do not eat meat and they did not provide any alternative, if not remedied at the last moment), despite the amount paid, the food was poor both in quality and quantity as well as lacking preparation (boiling potatoes or pasta is not cooking, much less season it by opening 2 cans of tuna and a tablespoon of capers). Fabio and Angela are also good people but they are not suitable to host on their boat.
