This experience, in a nutshell

Cruising with an 18-meter Maxi Yacht with skipper and hostess/steward!

A sailing yacht is the best way to discover Sardinia and its sea, considered one of the most beautiful in the world, in comfort and safety.

We will alternate swimming and sailing between islands and bays, discovering some of the most exciting shades of blue.

Evenings await us at anchor admiring the sunset while preparing an aperitif. Dinner in the cockpit will be a time for chatting, stories of the sea and shooting stars.

We will go ashore to immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the historic centers, enjoying the hospitality and local cuisine. And then again we will cast off the moorings, hoist the sails to return to the sea.

We look forward to seeing you on board!

Leg 1

Sunday - La Pelosa and Asinara

We are waiting for you to board at the Cormorano Marina in Porto Torres by 10 am. As soon as we are all on board, the captain will explain a few simple rules to follow to safely enjoy your boat holiday. When everything is ready, we cast off the moorings and head towards La Pelosa. White dunes covered with junipers descend into transparent waters; It's time for the first dive under the watchful gaze of the Spanish towers on the coast. A short sail will take us to Asinara, to Cala d'Oliva, where we will then spend the night. Here we will find a small village that was inhabited by fishermen until 1885, the year of the establishment of the penal colony. On land there are two paths for trekking enthusiasts: one towards the interior called Leccio, which reaches the forest of Elighe Mannu and one along the coast called del Faro which reaches Punta Scorno, the northern end of the island. The first dinner on board awaits us before we are kidnapped by Morpheus.

Leg 2

Monday - Isola Rossa

In the group there is always someone who gets up early and someone who doesn't move before the second coffee. There's time for everyone: breakfast, a refreshing bath and off we go. With a beautiful sail we cross the Gulf of Asinara and reach Isola Rossa. We drop anchor just outside the port and can thus cool off after the navigation enjoying the long beach that will then welcome us for the night. Those who, on the other hand, want to reach land can visit the characteristic village and explore its surroundings on easy paths that lead to the numerous beaches nearby. Cheerful dinner on board.

Leg 3

Tuesday - Castelsardo

After the morning torpor, a short navigation will take us to Castelsardo, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Dive, lunch and then enter the port as soon as possible because this medieval village has numerous points of interest such as the wonderful fortress of the Doria, the dome of the bell tower of the Co-Cathedral of Sant'Antonio Abate completely covered with colored majolica of the seventeenth century that sparkle in the sun, or the Diocesan Museum which is located inside the Crypts of the Co-Cathedral which houses its treasure. Walking along the charming streets of the city, it is possible to admire the basket shops at the doorstep of the houses. Those who, on the other hand, want to reach land can visit the characteristic village and explore its surroundings on easy paths that lead to the numerous beaches nearby. Cheerful dinner on board.

Leg 4

Wednesday - Isola Piana

Since we are comfortable at the port, we take the opportunity for an espresso and a typical Sardinian dessert at the bar before setting sail. We return to the marine protected area of Asinara, the real protagonist of this cruise. To preserve the biodiversity of this area, the coast has been declared a national park and the seabed is a marine protected area. For those who want to try their hand at manoeuvring, this is the right time: study the wind, adjust the sails and head west. For those who are not at the helm, sailing becomes a moment of complete relaxation, there is nothing more restful than letting yourself be lulled as if in a large hammock with a sea view. We anchor at sunset next to Isola Piana. There's time for a swim in the burning sea, before drying off for a tasty dinner on board.

Leg 5

Thursday - Cala Reale

We take time to enjoy Asinara from all points of view. This place is fascinating not only for the beauty of the colors or the richness of the seabed, but also for the history it carries with it and of which you can clearly see the traces. For over a century, the island was in fact home to a maximum security prison; Although it is now in disuse, the atmosphere of poignant isolation is still in the air. After breakfast we head to Cala Reale which is the perfect starting point for visits to land: we can rent bicycles or electric cars, reach the sea turtle recovery and care center or visit the workshops that produce natural cosmetics based on local plants and donkey milk. After an intense day on land full of wonder for the eyes, the palate will also enjoy a delicious dinner on board, while we will exchange the emotions experienced.

Leg 6

Friday - Porto Torres

Wake up calmly and then we go on the hunt for the bay with the most intense turquoise or transparent color that only Sardinia can offer. Lunch on board and after the last dives, before evening, we return to the marina of Porto Torres, to enjoy the last dinner together having the opportunity to savor the tasty typical Sardinian dishes. We will then find ourselves in the cockpit, in front of a good myrtle, exchanging photos of the holiday and our impressions.

Leg 7

Saturday - Disembarkation

Disembarkation is expected by 9:00 a.m. The time has come to say goodbye by taking the memory with us so that the holiday lasts as long as possible. Have a good return and fair winds, always!

Ibiza and Formentera on maxi sailing yachts, with skipper and hostess: what more could you want ?!

Alberto P.
